There's Giger with his "Ghost Train"! Heck, I wish I had known about this a few months back when someone posted a question about creating their own Giger-esque train for their model railroad!

somehow, I get the feeling that it isn't running on 4'-8 1/2" track. Maybe 12 feet? Wonder what kind of track we modelers could use..."code 450?"

I think I've seen that loco before. I couldn't realize where but thenI figured it out. It was in my last nightmare. How many crew members would it taketo run that thing?

I read an article in the swiss RR magazine LOKI years ago.

HR Giger - the designer of the "Alien", he won the Academy Award for his work in 1980, lives in Switzerland and in his garden he has a gauge G I think, possible 5 inch, Modelrailroad. his engines looks like this monster and like HIS Monster Alien.

His garden was, I hope is, at this time a paradiese for the Alien fans !!!

Hey some of these commuter rail lines could use loco's like that. Keep them grade crossings clear for sure!!!

Well Elliot when you put in that perspective, I think we might get away with a Z scale engine running on 1/8th scale track. A small thermal reactor would be possible.

Definitely Not a Narrow gauge Version!

Just noticed the "guy" standing in the lower center. That is one HUGH loco.

The land version of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea".

Is that the passenger or frieght version of the loco?

I think its a 8-16-8 operating on the Mordor & Pacific RR and the catcher is an Oliphant-catcher....[;)]

Clicking on the photo enlarges it...[8D] be an awesome hauler on any layout but I'd hate to see how much reworking the clearances would require...

Cool! An 0-16-0 with about 120" drivers- Hope it has an automatic stoker.
I think BLI is doing this one- bad news is the suggested retail of $29,999.95

It's probably an African design. So they needed an elephant catcher [swg] I take it an N scale version will need 11" or larger curves? [:p]
