Hi, I just picked up on Ebay a BLI NYC Hudson Road #5344, I know it has sound but I don't know
how to tell if it has the smoke feature, also I need a box for it and papeerwork , any idea's, thanks
Steam,
I'm guessing that you don't know whether it's a Paragon or Paragon2 unit either. The Paragon2 Hudsons will come with smoke units. There may be an identification number stamped to the bottom side of the chassis somewhere with the particular model #. That would help to identify whether it's a Paragon or Paragon2 unit.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
BLI has produced the NYC 4-6-4 #5344 in both the Paragon Series (no smoke) and the Paragon 2 series (smoke),
So, as Tom suggested, you need to find the identification number on the chassis.
You should call Customer Service at BLI. They may be able to provide you with a spare box and paper work.
The BLI web site also has a section where you can download documentation for your loco.
But, the key to all of this is to first identify which series you have, Paragon or Paragon2.
