Mike:  Thanks for the very kind words. My artistic ability is 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. For once,at least, I quit while I was ahead!

Chad:  Does this mean the rumors of a new Mel Gibson movie "Railroad Warrior" are true?

Mike,

Holy cow, I actually never put that connection together, but Man, wow!!! Yeah!!!! Dude!!!
I almost was motivated & tempted to put up $12.5 on an Aussie '72 XB Falcon once in the early 90's...

Those are MAXimus units aren't they!!!
Almost even in the same paint Schemes! (These are XA's [4 doors])

Anyway, this will be an ICEBREAKER, & low & snowbound...

Dont want to give much away, as I see major issues in my photo, as said, hopefully more to come....

Thought that might be a Conrail unit Chad, either South Philly or the Bronx.

Backdrop painting this week on my PC & KC RR (On30). Really out of my comfort zone here. Foreground trees, bushes and other etcs. still to do. Idea is that the background be rather vague and indistinct rather than sharp and detailed so that the trains and accompanying scenes become the focus.

Karl,

Hey Thanks!!
I know in my "Diesel Spotters Guide" they have some commuters with the antivandal mesh, but do they also have severe weather units?? I do know that the 'Lakes' cause phenomenal snowfalls, & I would expect to hear from those tales.  However, it always seems we hear fromn the non-snow areas because it is special & becomes an event, where-as, in Washington or Oregon state it must be more nomal & they just deal with it....
I would love to hear those stories, see video, or even artwork if it was that many years ago.

When was the last time you (anyone) heard, saw, or recorded a snow country epic story?
I know they are going on!
I had a better story with the 2 inch overlay snow calamities, than the few days before 7 inches we got.

Please share & feel free to start a new thread about it..
& because this is WPF, & I am burning Air Time, I will put an Oldie up that should be on topic!!!!

I've done some painting before but it always seems like somewhat of a struggle. Rewarding when completed but def. harder for me than most other scenery aspects. Thanks for the kind words!
