Canadian Pacific shield heralds for transport trucks
Posted by hon30critter on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 12:10 AM

Hi everyone!

I have managed to acquire a reasonably large fleet of Canadian Pacific transport trailers but I am having some difficulty finding the truck cabs to pull them. The trailers are the 25 ft. piggy-back service units in green with yellow lettering.

I have a few questions:

What was the paint scheme on the cabs that would have pulled the green/yellow trailers? Were the cabs green too or were they the same as the red cabs with the CP beaver/script herald that pulled the longer silver trailers?

Did Athearn ever release the Canadian Pacific cabs with the shield herald on their own without the accompanying trailer?

Does anyone make a decal or dry transfer of the Canadian Pacific beaver shield herald that was used on the sides of the transport truck cabs in the late 50's/early 60's?

Thanks for your help.

Dave

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
