2 good train books
Posted by traintravler on Monday, September 10, 2012 9:56 AM

I was going thru my closet the other day and came accross 2 good train books.  They are informative and a good read.

The books are:

http://www.amazon.com/Great-Book-Trains-Brian-Hollingsworth/dp/0517645157/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1347287973&sr=1-1

and

http://www.amazon.com/Complete-History-North-American-Railways/dp/1555213758/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1347287943&sr=1-1

The second one gives the history of the North American railroads from the early 1800's.  The other gives info on the different engines going back to the 1800's.  Helps some if your doing a specific time period in railroads.
