tatans I hate to rain on this parade but I can't emphasize enough about the value of weathering, some scenes would glow with a bit of weathering instead of bright shiny, glistening equipment.
If you are referring to my Mopar, no way!
While I have weathered some of my rolling stock, I run a clean railroad! I work my HO people 24 7 keeping the engines and most of the rolling stock clean. They get there weight in White Castles! (TV commercial from a few years back)
Most of my coal cars could use some cleaning.
So me something dirty or clean.
Ken
Well, I thought, here we go again with a bunch of goofy photos, WELL ! I'm impressed, this forum is great, some super photos of some great layout scenes, I hate to rain on this parade but I can't emphasize enough about the value of weathering, some scenes would glow with a bit of weathering instead of bright shiny, glistening equipment.
Please keep up the great photos, this is one of the better forums, and a lot of fun.
Ahem... from page one.
" This thread originally stated that this is for model railroading only, no real/prototype trains. Here are the rules:In this thread a person asks to see something, related to model railroading of course, and the first person to respond by posting a picture that contains what the person asks for then immediately says "Show Me Something"..................That person can ask to see, for example, a certain color.. or a shape such as something round or square. They could ask to see something patriotic, or something angry or happy or sad. They may ask to see something educational or inspiring or scary. The request should be one word, such as "Show Me Something Humorous"Participants in the thread should give others a chance to join in. For instance, let several requests/replies go by before jumping back in after you've participated UNLESS the thread drops off the first or second page and you'd like to bring it back. In that case it would be fine to answer again.Please..., NO LINKS to a picture on another website somewhere. The answer MUST be posted in your reply. If a participant does that it should be ignored and another person can reply. There may be times when two or more people reply at the same time. Any reply should be done to the FIRST person."
