Does anyone know if there is an alternative to Bachmann for a 44T or 70T switcher?

Yup..The older brass GE44/70(if you can find them) tonners-be advised these had the howling KMT drives.

Keystone has made a brass/diecast 44-Tonner kit off and on. It has a drive made by Northwest Short Line. I've heard it can take some work to get one running well, but they're pretty nice from what I've seen.
