Ok, it is a real prototype photo in 1:1 scale... but with that phone wire hanging down at the top of the frame ant the light pole in the middle I thought it did look like a backdrop on a layout.

The West End train turns east to 9th Avenue. In the opposite direction the line used to go west to third avenue. Actually, it still does go west, and I followed as far west as possible and so you find me standing on first avenue looking west to the waterfront. Cool! I like the photos. All that's missing is the Cyclones ballpark during a game. BTW: Good photo of lower Manhattan with the new WTC going up, although it will never look the same to me.
