Bear,
Thanks for posting. The 6- and 8-sided wood boxcars are one of my favorite Accurail offerings. I just LOVE the texture of the exterior.
Pretty soon I should be receiving a 3-pack kit of Accurail PRR wood-side twin hoppers from my LHS. I'm really looking forward to putting them together and seeing them on my layout. I'll try and post pictures when I get them done.
Stay warm...

Thanks for starting the thread.
I had hoped to be able to show pictures of my White 3000 cab over tractor with all the lights working. I had the headlights, tail lights, roof top lights and front signal lights all wired with LEDs. The problem was that I kept breaking the LED leads (I was using super fine magnet wire). I had to replace two different LEDs three times each because of broken connections, and the final insult was having one of the front signal lights let out its smoke for no reason that I can determine. I should also add that I was not pleased with the brightness of the fibre optics used to light the roof lights.
That did it. I am not about to be ruled by the weaknesses of magnet wire, so I tore the whole thing apart, scrapped all the LEDs and I am about to redo the whole mess with 30 ga. Kynak single strand wire which is what I used previously to illuminate a whole bunch of vehicles with great success.
Please don't hold your breath for the improved result. I am still so frustrated that I will have to give it a little time before I restart the project.
Any one else been there, done that?
I know that this is a little off topic - sorry.
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!

Gidday Folks, well its Friday evening here, looks like another frost tonight. Thoughts to those sweltering or affected by fires.
Nothing spectacular from me, just finished assembling three Accurail kits.
Have a Good One Folks.
