Are we going to run this another month or start a June issue??
George In Midcoast Maine, 'bout halfway up the Rockland branch
Got June 2012 Setup now...
Here are the rules:
In this thread a person asks to see something, related to model railroading of course, and the first person to respond by posting a picture that contains what the person asks for then immediately says "Show Me Something"..................That person can ask to see, for example, a certain color.. or a shape such as something round or square. They could ask to see something patriotic, or something angry or happy or sad. They may ask to see something educational or inspiring or scary. The request should be one word, such as "Show Me Something Humorous"Participants in the thread should give others a chance to join in. For instance, let several requests/replies go by before jumping back in after you've participated UNLESS the thread drops off the first or second page and you'd like to bring it back. In that case it would be fine to answer again.Please..., NO LINKS to a picture on another website somewhere. The answer MUST be posted in your reply. If a participant does that it should be ignored and another person can reply. There may be times when two or more people reply at the same time. Any reply should be done to the FIRST person.
Due to the lack of momentum, we should be a little lighter on the 1-hour rule this time.

Here are my 'oldest' and 'newest' locomotives side by side for their official portrait.
Show me your favorite locomotive.
In spite of my handle, this little outside frame 0-4-0 is my favorite:
It's nearly as old as me, but it runs much better than I do (thanks to a new can motor from the motorman - MR advertiser). It didn't run at all with the original motor - and thus engendered a favorite quote from my wife: "You paid how much, and it doesn't even run?!" A couple of weeks later I had it running and she told me that she doubted that I could fix it. It's not that she thinks I lack skill, but she figured it was too far gone. That's one thing that old brass locos and Corvettes have in common: In the right hands they can always be restored.
It's rare to find an outside frame loco in HO standard gauge, so I was thrilled to get this one.
Show me romance.

Denver Union Station was the very first structure I built for my layout. This was about 3 years ago.

Boy Ken, that made stop and think.
Guess one of the first buildings was in this picture.
I bought it of E Bay, it was a Ford (Yuck) that I was going to make in to a Dodge Dealership.
First building I built, I think it was a Pinskiee (sorry about the spelling) It was a kit you kit bash. I knew I was over my head when I read "After All We Are Modelers Right". Don't seem to have any pictures of it.
I started getting better and did some Cornerstone Kits and they tuned out OK. Then I got into DMP.

Most of my buildings have been packed away waiting for a few years on me to build a Adult looking layout.

This is me and a load I built:
Yes, it's 1/1, but I loaded this car and 25 others a few years ago. We were closing a window manufacturing plant and had a little lumber to send to plants that were not closing. We had laid off the work force, so a shift manager and I (HR manager) had to do some "real" work.
