Building Woodchip cars out of old 3-bay Coal hoppers
Posted by DavidH66 on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 8:25 AM

hey I was reading the Model Railroad planning 2011 and saw a picture that had some converted coal hoppers that were turned into woodchip hoppers. I was wondering if there was any tutorials on making them?

To the best of my recollection, I've not seen one.

Here are a couple of photos of a B&M wood chip hopper converted frm a 3-bay coal hopper. It should not be much of a project to duplicate this one, just some sheet styrene and some additional wire grab irons - either Details Associates or Details West has them.
