Pueblo & Salt Lake RR
Posted by wedudler on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 4:40 AM

My Silver Valley RR had the last run. Silver Creek module is sold, the other modules will be stored under the layout and used at FREMO meetings.

The room is ready for the Pueblo & Salt Lake RR. I've made my track plan following the idea from John Armstrong in MR Jan 1962.

The "lower" level at 43'' has staging yard and Esperanza. The narrow gauge line increases up to 59''.#

For now I've soldered all turnouts for the staging yard and most turnouts for Esperanza. Due to my Cholangiocarcinoma problems I will incorporate for the first time my modules Salina and Fiddletown. This way I have some scenicked parts and can do scenery at Esperanza:

Looks very nice.  Interesting layout.  And interesting railroad.   Too bad you are in Germany or I would say we need to get to gather and interchange, as I've chosen to model the Pueblo & Arkansas River Valley railroad.   In real life the Pueblo & Arkansas bought the Pueblo & Salt Lake in 1873 or so.

Now I've started with benchwork.

You see the first two segments.

Wolfgang,

That's a classic track plan. I'm looking forward to seeing how you render it. This is going to be good

Now I've installed the first Tortoise and BluePoint. But I replaced the 0.8 mm wire from the kit with a 1.0 mm wire. This way I get more power, more force to the throw bar.

More trackwork and some wiring.

My Tam Valley Hexfrogjuicer powers two frogs of the crossings without problems. You couldn't hear it. The engines run with sound over the crossing.

LOL - Good to see Engine #1 also being tested as I know it's an important part of the roster for an important part of your fan base.
