CMI Sounder Station
Posted by brianmarie on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 5:26 PM

I just obtained an older 'CMI Sounder Station'  sound machine by CMI Incorporated.  I have three questions:

1. Does anyone have a manual I can get a copy of?

2. Can anyone explain the different input connections on the back of the unit?

3. Does anyone have an  RF receiver and speaker that fits in a car they would like to sell for this unit?

Thank you

Brian

Hello Brian,

I also have a CMI Sounder Station and do have the owners instructions that were included with it.

I will try to scan them so I can e-mail them to you but most likely will have to just copy and mail them.

Inputs on back:

Power In: Your power source.

Aux Input:For external sounds input, microphone, etc.

Track: Hook to track (like a power pack) for use in auto mode and RF unit

Ext Amp: Hook to amplified speakers ( if desired)

Bal: to adjust balance between digital and analog train sounds

EXt  Speaker (headphones) For output to 8 Ohm speaker of headphone set. Cuts off internal speaker when in use.

You can click on my icon and then contact me off forum with your address.

Brian,

My HP scanner is down so I'll get it copied and mailed off to you tomorrow. I have sent you an e-mail as well.

Maybe this is one of those topics where the NMRA Library can help you.  According to their website, they have documents like kit instructions, so perhaps they might have a copy of these instructions also.
