This engine is made of brass sheet, it had to fit an ESU Loksound micro and LEDs. And it runs well!

Show me a critter

twhite

show me something else that drove you nuts building.

The bucket assembly on this ore bridge.  I thought I could motorize it.  I even had it working briefly, but I wound up frying 2 decoders before I decided that a static bucket wasn't so bad after all.  The two motors are still in it, if I ever feel foolishly ambitious again.

Show me the most challenging kitbash or scratchbuild you ever did...

this loco made me come to tears while RE-building!  2nd hand Custom Brass import, what WASN'T wrong with it hadn't been invented yet.  Runs pretty good right now, but I learned a whole new vocabulary tearing it down and putting it back together.

Your request is way too specific.

Show me something that made you come to tears while building.

Almost 12 hours out and no Pacifics or Hudsons, so here is an old-timer Roundhouse loco pulling a mixed train from the fishing village depot at the Boothbay RR Village layout. Sorry for the low resolution, its a capture from a video I shot last summer. part of a 1930s train exhibit we ran to support a talk by George Barrett on transportation on teh Maine coast in the 1930s

Show me a 1950s passenger train that has not been posted before

Lion ... My pre-Amtrak streamliner does have a heavyweight baggage/RPO. Other cars are Budd streamliners. ... The freight train also in the photo has FT's.

Please show a Pacific or a Hudson hauling a passenger train.

Climax #3 goes on the daily supply run to Camp 3 with a reefer of food and stock car of fresh horses. In the background, you can see the Camp 2 skidder has done a days work.

Show me a wide/panoramic shot of a backwoods branchline (i.e., a shot of that portion of the layout, not a closeup).
