Hi all,
I'm looking at using the Bachmann E-Z track turntable as the mechanism for a scratchbuilt turntable, and I haven't been able to find any information on how it's indexed. I mainly want to know if it can be set to stop at less than the full 16 positions.
I'd appreciate any help on this.

The Bachmann turntable works the same as the Atlas turntable. With the motor running, it stops at each position before moving on to the next. You can stop it anywhere you want but it is only indexed on the 16 positions. The bottom of the pit does not move, as it does in the Atlas, but the outer ring does move with the bridge.

I remember someone posting an article online about removing the indexing - I think it's called something like a "Geneva movement", where it stops at each track - so that the turntable just turned and had to be lined up by eye when you wanted it to stop at a particular track. I would guess since the Bachmann TT is similar, you might be able to make a similar adjustment to it.
