I think this qualifies. DJ.
Show me a Herbie or any VW.
Grampys Trains Show me a Herbie or any VW.
Not exactly the 'love' bug, but that dark green Beetle is a 1:87 replica of the 1967 VW I drove during my teen years, all over the eastern US [mostly along the B&O], during my active train chasing days.
Speaking of which...
Show me a photo of some 'scale' train watchers
-Ken in Maryland (B&O modeler, former CSX modeler)
Just had to post this. Looking for some 'scale' train watchers.
Justin
These are N scale watchers watching N scale models of Lionel O gauge trains in an N scale model of a prototype train barn.
They are watching, not actually running, because my N scale models of Lionel trains don't run, they are just dummies.
Show me something kit bashed from soimething NOT made for model trains.
Leighant ... Very creative. I like it.
Here is my commercial bakery. The silos for inbound flour are made from plastic drain pipes (unused, of course)
Please show a snow plow.

Here's a pilot plow:
And if the pilot plow doesn't count, how about a rotary:
Yes that is real snow.
Show me a windmill.
Matt from Anaheim, CA and Bayfield, COClick Here for my model train photo website
Hopefully an Aermotor water pump will do.... If this looks like something is weird about the track, it is because the barn and Aermoter windmill are n scale on my HO scale layout. They are set way to the back of the layout and the n scale creates a very believable forced perspective in the area (no one has ever figured it out on their own, even when the layout was judged for Scenery).
Show me a scratch built farm fence.
Ray Seneca Lake, Ontario, and Western R.R. (S.L.O.&W.) in HO
We'll get there sooner or later!
My Granddaughter's model of her other grandpa's farm. The double fence post pattern came from him. Toothepicks, black thread, CA and lots of time.
Please show me some weeds.
This is as weedy as it gets on my layout. OTOH if you really want weeds I can post a picture of my backyard!
And on that subject, anybody have a scene on their layout where someone is mowing a lawn?
I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!
The boss's son is earning his keep.
Show some Overton Passenger Cars
Happy Railroading

Don't Ever Give Up
Well, these ones haven't seen a paying passenger in a while, but they still carry work gangs for MoW and wreck train work.
Show me a weed sprayer car.
Looks like time is up on the weed sprayer car. It's anyones game!
Jarrell
OK, Jarrell ... Another request. ..
Please show an Alco FA1 or FA2 hauling a freight train in the 1950's.
(Wayne ... I like your MofW cars)
Heartland Division CB&Q OK, Jarrell ... Another request. .. Please show an Alco FA1 or FA2 hauling a freight train in the 1950's. (Wayne ... I like your MofW cars)
Thanks for your kind words on the MoW cars.
How about both FA-1 and FA-2s, as reviews of these Model Power locos called them a combination of both. Sorry that the train isn't visible in the photo (there's another B-unit outside the frame), but there were about 60 cars on the drawbar. These are among the very few diesels I have left.
Show me a doodlebug.
I found this thread last night, and since have read all the posts. This is likely not the doodlebug that Wayne was thinking of, but these home built tractors are often called doodlebugs. This one is pattered off my dads real one, a 1929 ford A and the Peru tractor kit...ordered out of the sears catalogue. Also, my scratch built loader bucket, as way back chad said he doubted any one would have one.
I hope the pictures post. If someone beats me, go on with theres, but if not, show me something college (ie form your college modeling days, or a colege town, etc.)
One doodle bug. This is sure a way to see some of the old, pre scenery pics. I have not really gone though these pics in a while.
Show me a pic looking up at something from below.
Looking at an SD45 from below. DJ.
Show me an Alco RSD4/5.
When mine clears the moderator, just skip the show me, as by the time it appears, it will be way out of turn, as whale mine was going through moderation before public unveiling, Art came up with a true doodlebug.
Hope this one will do, been awhile, & it is an Alco RSD... Here is a BLI Alco RSD15 high hood, as it comes out of the box, I have not done anything with it yet. I never did get it's Low Hood sister unit.

Orange...how 'bout a set of Iron Belt pumpkins?
Show me a grain elevator / silos
Ken beat you by a nose and he wants to see wrecked rolling stock.
Actually, Ken was late to the party by five minutes. Stourbridge Lion wanted "something orange" which was provided by CSX_road_slug. We're looking for a grain elevator / silo.
Here's a converted coal dealer's shed, serving as a grain storage elevator:
Show me (and Ken) a wrecked car, preferably of the rolling stock variety
My apologies, I misread the time zones.
The request is
Show me (and Ken) a wrecked car, preferably of the rolling stock variety .
"Reggie" made his auto parts store out of a wrecked box car next to his junkyard. I actually started with a wrecked wood box car from my scrap box.
Please show some wood freight cars in service (not wrecked) .
Garry:
Wood cars make up about 75% of my boxcar and reefer fleet.
Oops, got beaten out AGAIN, LOL! That's what happens when you're on Pacific Coast Daylight Savings Time.
Okay, wood Canadian caboose.
