Actually, that has nothing to do with it, TO.  It's just that the topic has been discussed ad nauseum in recent weeks.  The mods felt it was time to move on to more productive topics.

By "more productive" do you mean:

  (A) Topics with a fresh perspective or

  (B) Topics with riper vegetables to toss?

I just added up the cost of my lawn tractor. Gas, oil, blades and all the repairs I've done in the last 13 years. I have an acre of lawn and figured it's cost me $28.50 every time I cut it. That's outrages! Can someone please point me to the John Deere bashing forum please.Smile, Wink & Grin

At thirteen, he has an excuse. Others, not so much.

Right now I'm at $10 a cutting  just for the fuel to cut around 1.5 - 2 acres. Deprecation and upkeep on the machine is running  roughly $15 an hour. It takes two hours, so I'm at $40 per cutting. That's with me doing the all-too-frequent maintenance chores. If I took it to a dealer, it would be much higher.
