I had sent one of my Bachmann steamers in for servicing and'or replacement. I was notified that the roadname I had sent in was not available so I picked out another roadname for the replacement.
The replacement item arrived in the mail today, the new steamer as well as the old tender and the entire boiler assembly complete with cab.

The Bachmann repair group is the best. I brought a shay once to their shop on erie avenue in Philly. The shop was in an old factory. Everyone was friendly and helpful as can be. They had a layout to test their work and it looked like everyone enjoyed what they did. A few of them were semi-retired.
Now if MRR could find a couple of people with half the dedication maybe we'd have a good running forum and not have to watch their machine run like it was on dial-up.

12 of my 13 locos are Bachmann DCC OnBoard. I love them all.Some are Spectrum, some are regular and some were Spectrum transitioned to regular line.
I have never had a problem with them even though some people say the decoders are crap. They do what I want them to do, thats it. They were all also very nicely priced and fit my wallet well.
SHOULD I have a problem, I DO understand Bachmann has the best service dept of all makes.
That makes me love my Bachmanns even more!
