Today I present the 21st Century MKT “Katy” ES44AC Collection. I hope everyone enjoys the drawings. I’m hopeful someday we will see some of these color schemes in HO Scale.
The Katy is one of my favorites! Back in the late 60’s I had the pleasure many times to climb aboard on some old Katy GP7’s and F3’s. The conductor for the Katy was a gentleman by the name of Harry Springer, great guy! Mr. Springer was always glad to see me and my friends waiting at the station. The Katy ran through Broken Arrow Oklahoma 7 days a week. The local made a round trip daily from Muskogee to Tulsa and then back. Times were great back then.
