On another thread- regarding rail painting- I just saw the video that showed the use of the rail painting paint tool from Joe's. Which brings up a request to all my fellow hobbyists:
Whenever any of us come across a product demo or a modeler's "how-to" video, please post the link for others to see. It opens up another resource that, by ourselves independently, we might overlook in trying to do a search for assistance on a particular topic, etc.
Having seen that rail painting video- the use of the tool in action- it sure makes me far more inclined to purchase and use that product when I get to my rail laying work on my layout in a few months!
(and who's to say, maybe some one has already found OTHER hobby uses for that same tool besides rail painting?????)
I have turned to You Tube for "methods of work" advice previously and found it very helpful, as I am sure many of us have.
This is also a great way for "newbies" to learn, of course; in addition to the helpful videos that MR puts out on this website. If you know of a new hobbyist- point them in the right direction by letting them know of these resources.

I am a little dense at times but when I read that thread the rail Painter you-tube video was linked on the OPS beginning post. Reason I brought this up is the way you made this in bold print: please post the link for others to see.
Sorry if I misread your post.
Wadda ya mean I'm old ? Just because I remember gasoline at 9 cents a gallon and those big coal burning steamers.
