zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz gauge radius ?
Posted by pbjwilson on Monday, July 12, 2004 7:09 PM
I am pondering getting into z gauge. Anybody know the different radius curves offered by Marklin? I'm looking at some track on ebay but don't know the radii.

thanks to those in the know.

I found this site which lists 145 mm, 195 mm and 220 mm

145mm = 5.709" 195mm = 7.677" and 220mm = 8.661"

http://www.mgsharp.com/Marklin_Z_Track.htm

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

Don't forget flextrack; three brands:
-Micro-Trains Line

I'd suggest that you use the radius of 8" or larger as the Marklin curves are all too sharp.
Use flex track, Peco is good as you do not have to cut the tie strip as you have to with the Marklin 660mm long track.
