I'm not trying to induce violations of the no advertising rules, but I've been away from the hobby for a number of years, and want to know the best internet sites for buying or selling/auctioning older brass models. Ebay is the only obvious name that occurs to me, but I'm wondering if there are any model railroad specific sites I should be aware of. Thanks for any ideas you can provide.
Try Yahoo HO Yard Sale. Sold and bought a few things there.

I've bought 2 low-end used brass locomotives - one from eBay and the other from a Yahoo Group co-member. If you have particular interests within model railroading, joining the appropriate Yahoo Group will bring you into contact with model railroaders who tend to be seriously interested in the same aspects of the hobby. Offering of items related to the group occur pretty frequently on many of these groups. Examples I belong to include Early Rail, 4L (logging), HOn3, Roundhouse, repower and regear.
There are also hobby shops that do a considerable amount of brass buying/selling, often on consignment. Caboose Hobbies in Denver is one of the best-known, but there are quite a few others just as reliable and ethical.

There has been a recent thread or two in this forum on this topic. Other posters who have more experience with buying and owning brass provided good answers. I suggest searching the forum to see these threads.
