Sn3 Freight Cars as Early 55n3
Posted by hminky on Friday, September 17, 2010 3:07 PM

The PBL Sn3 boxcar comes close to the Ohio River and Western #605. Sn3 freight cars just have to be raised up at the bolster.  HO trucks with 36" wheels become early 3 foot trucks. The #605 is the prototype for the Bachmann On30 car. Shown here with a Mantua ten-wheeler as a 4-4-0.

Sn3 also becomes 55n2-1/2 with a gauge of 31 and some change. That is really strange because that is what HO track scales out in O scale.
