My Narrow Gauge is fictional, Oregon and Pacific Midlands, connecting a standard gauge line to a small town on the Oregon Coast. Standard gauge I model Southern Pacific and Nickel Plate Road., both in steam to early deisel era. My husband is a Norfolk and Western fan, recently bought a beautiful 4-8-4 'J' series. We are in O scale.

Obviously, my signature speaks for itself. I also have a freelance logging
operation-Three Lakes Timber Co.. This is a traffic source for the GN, and
it lets me own and operate geared steam, and other cool Northwest
prototypes. I have ste a rather wide era, stetching from 1947 to 1967-the
streamlined Empire Builder Era that also includes steam.

Most of my stuff is Santa Fe, and includes locos and rolling stock from the 1940s, 50s, 70s to the present. I don't have a layout right now, but am planning to build one in the next few months - if all goes like I hope it will.

Santa Fe in the 1950s to 1971. Say Okla Train Nut, are the AT&L and Farmrail still running. AT&L still in Watonga. Where is Farmrail if it is active. I saw one of their locos years ago in Enid.

My railroad is the Tres Arboles Railroad which is based on the logging and backwoods railroads around the eastern part of the country during the early part of the century. It is mostly freelanced and the scale is On30.

Chessie System and its predecessors (B&O, WM, C&O) from 1973 through 1983. Of course there are the occasional 'visitor' trains from RF&P, N&W, Conrail (PRR, PC), Reading, Southern, NY&SW, L&N, and DT&I.

my "fictional" short line (the Indian Valley Railroad) is based on a real short line (the Kishacoquillas Valley Railroad) in the Apalachian mountains of Pennsylvania that was abandoned in 1940. My IVRR models the line as if it had survived into modern day. A full history can be seen on my website, link in the signature.

Mostly the SOO LINE of the 60's & 70's Along with the Chicago & North Western, & am now in the process of merging the Wisconsin & Southern into the mix. All rural Wisconsin settings with some small towns, I am in the process of rebuilding right now.

Hi,

I model the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe line over Cajon Pass in Southern California (the First District of the Los Angeles Division of the Coast Lines) as it was in 1947.

That means that I'm also a de facto Union Pacific modeler, because UP trains had (as they still have) trackage rights over the Santa Fe line from Daggett, just east of Barstow, over the First District from Barstow to San Bernardino, and down the Third District to Riverside Junction.

This was heavy-duty steam/diesel transition time on both railroads, as both would be dieselized (on this part of their systems) by 1953. I like having clearly delineated prototypes to model in a relatively narrow time frame – I don't see this as restrictive but informing. I either know or can find out what the railroad was like at that time and then do my best to re-create it.

I model in S scale and do the Ma&Pa (Maryland & Pennsylvania) and my home road, Deer Creek & Susquehanna RR in the 1945-1950 era. I also build & collect N&W passenger trains in HO. Go figure?!?!?!

I model the Florida East Coast, CSX, and BNSF in modern day North Florida on my Branford & Southern Division.

Although "it ain't prototypic", I like to occassionally run my BN F-7s pulling 1930 smooth side BN passenger cars.

CB&Q in the late 1960's primarily.

Also interchanges, most live and a couple passive, with TP&W/ATSF, Rock Island, CNW, IC, PC, and maybe Milwaukee Road.

I will also model a freelance urban switching line, name and color scheme yet to be decided, possibly the Merchant's Interlink RR or some such.

Right now I model Wisconsin and southern Rolling stock in a fictional setting, just someplace in WIsconsin. My Next layout will be based as prototypicaly as possible on the Wisconsin and southern's Reedsburg Sub.

The trains of Stockton, California in the 1960s and 1970s. Lots of different paint went through that town.

I model my Eastern Railroad after Pennsyslvania RR between Philadelphia and New York City, in the 1950's. Also I use Train Dispatcher, between these two city. If i am not run my trains, I am on my computer.

Conrail Lowgrade from Dubois to East Brady, PA in the '75 to '85 time period. The layout is in a 75' by 25' basement and has 6 active shortlines which feed the Lowgrade line (B&LE, Falls Creek RR, B&P, P&S, LEF&C and the Sligo & Rimersburg railroad). The layout is a historical representation of the real thing and I used the Contrail ZTS track charts (1984) to layout all of the towns along the route.

ATSF, SP, UP, and BN in the transition era. No specific towns just the mountainous region of the western United States.

The Canadian PacificD&H & SOO in the US Northeast with a dash of the MEC/B&M for an interchange.
Pretty much Protolanced here.
I'm still working on another interchange to include Conrail/UP & or whatever I can fit in.

My layout is gonna be Boston to LA, So I have Santa fe, bn, csx, guilford (MEC,B&M), Amtrak , MBTA and occasional cameos by by a UP SD40-2[:P]

I model the great Range Road a.k.a Great Dividing Range Mining & Manufacturing Company (GDRM&MCo) in the 1960's because some of their late steam like the monstorus 2-10-2s and 2-10-4s and the high speed, high horsepower 2-10-6s are still in operation. The other RR's that interchange with the GDRM&MCo are Quality Rail a.k.a Quality Co., a stuck up RR like Union Pacific, and LTV Queensland, a class 2 steel mining RR with a large fleet of the Lengendary Steamers, the ALCo PA/PBs. Intermodal, Iron Ore, Auto Parts and time sensitive Merchandise are all a big part of each RR's revenue. The layout should be complete by 2006.
