NYC 999
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, June 25, 2004 7:54 AM
I seem to remember a NYC 999 (with really big drivers . The prototype
had 86" drivers and the one I'm asking about were bigger than
that). I isn't/wasn't one of the brass examples imported from
Japan. If I remember correctly is was a RIvarossi offering. Seems
to me it was offered sometime between 1959 and 1962. I
recall being surprised at how nice it looked compared to some
of the Brass that was available - equal or better than the brass.

I've been looking a long time and still haven't found one. Can
anyone tell me if I looking for something that was never made
or, better yet, has anyone ever seen the item I'm looking for.
