This is the backyard of an old Victorian style house that I am presently working on for the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa. The same techniques would work in G or Ho scales.

Hi John

Sounds like a cool idea. Why 1/24 scale? Are you planning on using AMTs model of "The General"?

How do I post pics from my photobucket or text from other sites? I don't see a reply button for this?

Hi John and welcome to the forum! Sign - Welcome

Photobucket - Just click on the [ img]photoname[img ] at photobucket to copy the photo and then paste it in your text here.  The text I think you will have to link to using the link button.

Hope this helps!  I too will look forward to seeing your progress.

 John

Welcome to the board, sounds like an interesting project and it will be refreshing to see how to's and hear the point of view of a non model railroader. Lets say an truly untainted perspective.

Should be a very interesting set of posts. hope we all don't scare you away.........lol

Just my 2 cents worth, I spent the rest on trains. If you choked a Smurf what color would he turn?

"Once Upon A Time In The West." 1/24 scale diorama.
Posted by JohnReid on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 9:55 AM

Hi guys! I am new here but have been doing dioramas for a long time. This will be my first RR diorama and will be dedicated to the film and its director Sergio Leone.Cheers! John. This diorama will be for me! Long before other models came into my life their was my American Flyer train ,that I played with for years just on the floor, more than 60 years ago now.
Sergio gave an interview once and told of how his interest in the old west was developed in his childhood probably about 10 years before mine.Like he did I went to the movies and sucked in all that old west mythology, then came home and played out the scenes with my buds or my model train.
As I reach my 70's it seems that I want to re-connect with my long gone childhood and play with my trains again.
