Conversion of Bachmann H4
Posted by CB&Q Modeler on Friday, July 30, 2010 2:30 PM

On looking online found an really nice looking SP articulated that could be easily done using the C&O H4 by bachmann, changing the smokebox front and repositioning the air compressors.

Abit daunting in that bachmann decided to glue the smokebox front on so i had to very carefully remove it using my razorsaw. a few small details to finish but think the overall look  is pretty close, not perfect but beats the heck outa spending $600-$800 for a brass MM3.......If you can find one.

Nice job!

That catches the "flavor" of the MM3 nicely.
