Small rant about micro-mark
Posted by cudaken on Thursday, July 8, 2010 4:19 PM

Micro Mark list some motors I need to fix some Proto 1000 F-3's that there motors wore out after 300 plus hours. Ever time I look at them they are on back order, drat! I called one time before this rant and was told they have no idea when they would get them? But they would not charge my card till they where in stock, OK that is fair.

Today I looked at them again and they where on sale! Big Smile Happy Happy Joy Joy, till I saw them on back order again! Confused Now besides them having something on sale they did not have in stock which seems odd to me. Is the fact they will charge my card with out letting me know first they are taking the funds! It is not like they can tell me I will be charged on 7-25-2010 because they have no idea when they are coming in!

I am on limited funds and will us a debit card to make the purchase. What if I am I am in the middle of no ware and need gas and the hit the card?

I know, keep the funds in the account till they hit me for it. But I still think a call or a E-Mail would not be to much to ask.

I'd cancel if they cant tell you when they'll come in.  In the mean time maybe you can figure out the supplier and get the motor from another source.

I agree and think this is good advice.

Odd?  Walthers does that all the time.

My only problem with micro-mark is that lately some of the tools they sell are poor quality compared to what I had been used to getting.  I recently purchased a pin vise that was made from brass and would not securely hold a drill bit smaller than about #76.  My old one would tightly hold a #80 bit.
