Does anybody know of an online link to instructions or photos for disassembling a Rivarossi Y6B (2-8-8-2) ?
Thanks
john
There should be a diagram on-line somewere.
On mine, there is a screw ahead of the smoke stack inside the rectangular feedwater heater. My engine is missing a retangular cover for the feadwater heater. If yours has a cover, it should come off with gentle prying.

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

John, here's the sheet for the later version with the round motor and all loco pickup, in case that's the one you have.

Oooooohhh.... *now* you tell me!!!
Actually, it is the one I have, but I was able to get it figured out from the other drawing. I just needed some clues where to look and what types of mechanisms they were using to hold it together.
What I really could have used though was information about the tender-- I had a heckuva time figuring that one out. In the end I figured it out by accident-- I was pulling on the tender pin and it popped out and the whole thing came apart.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
