for anyone in/aound Cle OH:
I was perusing the net and saw that teh Midwest Railway preservation society is having an open house this coming Sat (April 24). I went to one of them last year -- during the tour, they'll explain some of the history of railroading in CLE, take you into some of their equipment, and (provided the RS-3 is behaving) take you on a short trip up & down the yard lead.
IIRC, they take you through the Pullman Sleeper/Lounge car Mount Baxter, and two 80-seat day coaches (NKP 62 and 90) (these cars are of movie fame --> they starred in "The Natural"). They will also pull out their equipment of Cuyahoga Valley Scemic Railway fame, the ex-GTW 4070, which is currently undergoing full restoration of the boiler,etc (so this likely also depends on said RS-3).
