BNSF paint
Posted by Jerm on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 8:16 PM

OK have to paint the railings on my BNSF C44-9W. I need the BNSF green and orange but I can't find the right one. Anybody know where to point me in the right direction.

 Thanks

Jeremy

So we don't point in the direction you have already been - where have you already looked/searched??

Google is good! Yahoo is my friend.

Try searching the actually paint manufacturers websites.  You'll have more success.  eBay is just a sight for people to sell stuff - it doesn't tell you who makes what and whether something is available.  Go to your local hobby shop.

my local hobby shop isn't really a good place to find paint and train stuff. its more geared to r/c.

i found out that polly scale has BNSF heritage orange and green. guess i might roll with that.

Polly Scale seems close enough and you can always tint it if that is more to your liking.

I have done that with other road colors, tinting with white or black usually, one drop at a time, to get it "right".
