My first model RR video
Posted by Santa Fe all the way! on Friday, March 26, 2010 1:31 AM

This is just an experiment, really just couldnt wait to try this camera angle,  none of the buildings are where there going to be on the layout. I just set them there so I have something to look at while I get the time to start work on the layout again. Sorry its so dark, it wasnt as dark when I downloaded it. Im kinda proud of the Toledo, Peoria and Western caboose, its the first one I've ever painted and lettered. I couldnt find one commercially available, so I created one. It matches my locos pretty nice.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Cq-fIh8xzs

 Great start!

What did you use to cut your video? I use Windows Movie Maker.

Video is it self was pretty clear but the lighting need some work as you stated. At certain angles I get a green cast in my pictures as well.

I have Windows Movie Maker, but havent figured out how to cut videos yet. Seems like movie maker is more about adding effects? Could you give me some pointers, Im brand new to the video thing, I bought one of these tiny cameras for $11.85 on ebay and have been messing around with it every since.

just search key chain spy camera, the ones that are under $24 or so do not have the needed micro SD card included, the ones over that price do, but check listing to be sure.

I you go for the ones without the card, you can get those at best buy, walmart, ....

Check over on the "Garden" forum for this thread. I got one of the "Key Chain Spy" cameras over on evile-bay.

I got it to film a "passengers point of view" and am still figuring out how to use the thing.

SF, love the vid. What's the engine pushing? Sounds nice. Good pickup on the sounds.

Good start on the supply train too. That'll be fun to watch runby.

As ou figure out Movie Maker, see if you can find the filters for lighting, you might be able to brighten it up a bit.
