I added a Soundtraxx decoder and speaker to my Bachmann On30 Shay and Climax some five years ago.  I shot a short video with my digital still camera of them in operation on my HO scale modules (still don't have anything in On30 to run on).

Also my Broadway Limited large steamer is shown, and you can really hear the difference with two fairly large speakers in the large tender.  The Shay and Climax have 1" dia. speakers at the bottom of their small tender areas.
