That is a GREAT house to have a train room right above the garage. Can you post a wide shot of the layout and how you get your materials up and down from the garage?
Here's a picture of my house. The great thing about it is the "portability". If its too sunny on one side, I simply crawl into the pickup truck and move it 90 degrees.Of course i have to re-align the satellite TV everytime, so I've installed a crank inside so we can just turn it manually.
selectorWolfgang, you have done well on those cars. Would you consider a closer view, maybe of the sides? -Crandell

Scary times, Peter, and I am happy to see that you are largely unscathed. We went through a massive and damaging freezing rain incident in Ontario in 1998 which required the military to mobilize. It brought out the best and the worst in humanity, as you would imagine.
Nice home you have.
John, nobody does fall scenes like you...nobody.
HEdward.
I spotted the number on the left front fender above the headlight and thought that it was just a yard truck. As such, it probably wouldn't need plates. As for seeing the windshield wipers, these 70 year old eyes were happy to see the truck. Even with my tri-focal glasses I still had to get close to the 19" monitor to see that great pic.
Here's to another great WPF weekend.
All the best to everyone.

Nice work on those modules!

Although I do not model the UP, this loco is high up on my "Me Wants" list. Last year I ordered one from my mail order source in Germany, but I was too late! Now, I canĀ“t afford such an expense any longer
You are one lucky fellow, Crandell!
Sir Madog...is that a BLI UP TTT?
You have a good eye, Sir. Yes, it is the hybrid 2-10-2 TTT-6 from BLI. It is a nice model.
John
Crandell,

Great picture!
All of you fellas have been busy! Nice modelling going on during the winter months, and very commendable imaging, too. Ray, your overpass has turned out really well...I like the weathered look of the timbers. Ken, I really like your first image. Wow!
Here is a Union Pacific heavy freight taking some deliveries up to Sentinel Mines.
Every time I go to take a picture for WPF I end up seeing something I need to work on detail-wise, or something that needs to be touched up. Even so, here's a "sky" view of one area of my layout.
HEdward Blue! You missed the tells. The truck is missing it's licsense plate. The wipers look odd close up and the windows aren't dirty. I bet there's someone out there willing and able to fix these tiny details. Meanwhile, what do realistic looking HO scale yardmen do when they're not posing for WPF pictures?Blue Flamer Grampys Trains Great shots, Jarrell and Driline! Please note: In PA I don't believe they have license plates on the front of vehicles. Plus, Look very closely at the windshields -- you'll see some smears in the front and back windshields. Guess the driver did a real fast wipe so he could see backing up and pulling the trailing off ! Just my

Most of this week as been spent organizing and working on gear donated to my coworker Jeremy to get started in this hobby. Folks here have sent a lot of nice stuff! Few of the high lites.
Lot more received but I don't want to bore the kind folks here.
I have all so started enjoying joying switching. Figuring out switching problems at the Grain Elevator has been keeping me busy and enjoying my self.

You know that it's not nice to fool people with these shots of REAL locations and imply that they are pics of your own MRR Empire. L&LOL's. But really, I don't know which is better, your modeling skills or your expertise with the camera to make your models look so realistic. Thanks to you and all the other guys and gals for all the inspiration that give us all every weekend. Keep up the good work and please, don't stop posting those pics. Blue Flamer.

Jarrell, Grampy, and all the rest, a great start to the weekend.
I have been busy trying to finish up most of the work on the Bridge to Nowhere, NY on the SLOW. Here are a few shots of the bridge as it now stands (remember this is a logging line trestle and is supposed to be more than a bit scary to drive over..... I will probably shore it up a bit more later) and both my oldest working loco and my newest loco. Also in the photos are my recently completed Ticky Train Group flat cars. Hope you enjoy!

John, I'd have to third with tyler. 42 kills pictures my 100 mbps (1 gbps) connection...
Hopefully 7 isn't too many for the dail-up users out there
New power:1941 has the endrails painted since I put a decoder in it. 1958 will have the same done when it gets a decoder.
Here's something I pulled a bit ago. Guess which one is the P1K box, and which is the trainset LL one?
Answer, the BAR one:I added a KD box to the frame and then filled the hole with styrene rod (really a sprue). Then drilled and tapped the hole so I could use an athearn truck.
Here are the athearn RTR cars I got for christmas:

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
TrainManTy John, as much as I hate to do it, I feel I should say something...if you're going to post 42 images in a row on WPF (which is not recommended because others want their work seen too), at least resize them from 1024x768 to something more manageable like 640x480! Even on high-speed internet, you're killing my laptop! You might try creating your own thread and having just one or two photos here with a link to your thread.

Thanks for the complement John, however I'm afraid I have to second Tyler. Not only do others want there work to be seen, but I'm sure there are some dial up users out there that like to look at WPF, and it's not fair to them for one member to post 42 (I didn't even take the time to count) photo's. Also It's only friday night and there's still all weekend. Nice photo's though,

Great Job, as usual
It's been a long time sence I've taken overall photo's of my layout, but I needed to update the one's on my website so here's a couple:
First the East end, which lacks scenic material, and has the new grade crossing. Also note that the carshop will be installed on the tracks that the UP and Conrail Dash-8 loco's are on.
Second the West end, which has about 70% of the scenery finished. I still have to do some touch up work, especially around the scrap yard (LOTS of tall grass is needed)
Have a great weekend everyone,
Hello everyone. I am enjoying all of the great work posted so far.
