The CP Rail Manitoba and Minnesota Subdivision lifts its skirt to show what's underneath--storage!
A post by Jason Shron of Rapido Trains on some forums last week ("What a wife thinks about our hobby") got me thinking about the subject of compromise--specifically, how we work with our families to obtain the space we need for our layouts.
You can find my thoughts, and photos--including photos of how my brother-in-law built one of this city's largest layouts while still allowing the family to use all of the basement--on my blog at http://cprailmmsub.blogspot.com/2010/01/families-and-model-railroading.html
(See photo below for how my brother-in-law's layout went through his son's bedroom.)
