Springfield, VA by way of Wiesbaden, Germany; Ashland, OH (about an hour south of Cleveland); and born and raised in Baltimore, MD.

I think my upbringing in Baltimore definitely contributed to my model train interest. My time in Germany has got me hankering to do a layout of the Rhine river valley, but I don't have the space for that right now.

Born in Duesseldorf/Germany and now south of Hamburg, with a detour via Seattle, Tokyo, London, The Hague and Stettin/Poland.

Not yet much of that white stuff around here, but the weather guessers are predicting a snow storm for the night, dumping up to 40" of snow onto us. Let´s see how it looks in the morning.

'Bout halfway between Pensacola and Panama City Fl...

Used to live in San Antonio near the ex-SP main.

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

You may have trouble finding anyone from Nebraska or Iowa at present, as they're most likely frozen in place.

I was going to ask: thawed or unthawed?

It is not too bad.  Actually went outside today (snow day today plus tomorrow) and built a snow fort.  Made me feel like I was nine again.  It was only around -15 today.  Right now I hear it is around -45 with the wind chill.

Cincinnati Lite...Northern Kentucky, across the river from Cincinnati Ohio

Reality...an interesting concept with no successful applications, that should always be accompanied by a "Do not try this at home" warning.

Hundreds of years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...But the world may be different because I did something so bafflingly crazy that my ruins become a tourist attraction.

"Oooh...ahhhh...that's how this all starts...but then there's running...and screaming..."

Born and raised in Noo Yawk, so you might say I'm from there...

About as far from there as I can get in the Continental 48 without entering (GASP) Southern California (which is another place I'm from, having had three tours of duty there during my military career.)

So, where's here?  Las Vegas, the most-fun city on the planet (unless you're a Puritan of some stripe.)  It's a perfect match for my low tastes, and I even have a home town Air Force base.

Algona, IA.  Hwy 169 crosses Hwy 18.  Anyone else from north central Iowa?

Hi!

Born and spent the first 23 years in Chicago, the next 3 in Louisville, the next 7 in Joliet (Illinois), the next 3 in Dallas, and the last 29 just north of Houston.  Ooops, almost forgot, spent 3 months in Beaumont (Tx).  Drove thru the corner of Nebraska once, and drove thru Iowa a couple of times.
