BLI Paragon 2 Y6b initial review

...goes a step better than the original PCM run.

(arrived today and a quick checkover)

I plopped it on the track First thing up, ran it and it smoked. Fluid in it already?

Comes with fluid, but didnt know the fluid would not spill out on deliver. Hmm.

The smoke chuffs on each "articulated" chuff, that means yep it syncopate puffs with the sound offset chuff.

Sound is very good, but I don't like the end whuff whuff of the whistle, if I want to whuff whuff, I will do it...grrr.

Unexpected feature I didnt know. The Quill whistle. I have the digitrax DT400. The manual mentions how to activate the quill whistle, so I did it. The DT400 has a pressure sensitive button (I dint know that), and when set, scroll bars a display to how hard you press it. The whistle then "quills" or raises pitch on how hard you press the button.

This lets you "singsong" on the whistle a little bit. All whistles can do this.

If I can make a video with sound, I will sometime.

Front coupler has the Kadee "scale" coupler.

This is a must engine for you N&W'ers.

Thanks, maybe I'll use the money that I got from selling my MTH K4 to go towards this. Sounds like another winner from BLI. I really hope this company stays in business and keeps getting better.

Sounds like it is must have.

Does this model have a function to switch from standard to compound like the PCM engine?
