Good Afternoon, Janie - I'll have a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of creamy tomato soup with some cheese croutons on the top, please, with a RBF also. Thanks!
So Ulrich, was this your and Petra's first introduction to Steffi (or had you met her before this Christmas)? And if it was, what'd you and Petra think? Did 'young' Christian make a good choice?
Know that tonight and tomorrow we will have you and the hospital doctors, nurses, etc. covered in our
From my guesstimations, you are about 7 hours ahead of us, yes? What time do you have to get to the hospital (or what time is your test/surgery/doctor's visit)? And would those 'youthful' comments in setting up the computer be the ones that start with "Well, GEE, Dad..." (in THAT kinda "I can't believe my own father doesn't know how to...." tone)? But good that you have the 'puter in place and w**king okay now.
Todd, you scored big time at the 'office party'! Was it like some office parties I've heard about - lampshade on your head, etc.? Has Brenda seen the videos on YouTube yet?
(Just funnin' ya - I haven't seen any, although that's no guarantee that somebody might not have posted a video or some pics...) Ah, the downside of wonderful technology...
Hey, I was impressed about DerJohn's ballasting too, but remember, he was only doing that in iNvisible scale.
Rob, for your heliport on the hospital, you might see if a LHS or H-L has decals or dry transfers (such as for race cars, airplanes, etc.). They might have something like what you need for your pad. Are you thinking of a circle and/or crosshairs for the heliport? Think the one at the hospital closest to my place is like that.
Galaxy, it sounds like you did up your Christmas celebration for everybody on the gifts. Can I be a relative of yours next year?
We tried to do our part to keep things toned down, and besides, this is Elliott's (Trackside) Diner, so we usually wind up having a mug of coffee (or something stronger) after things wind down and we settle down at the RC.
Robby, I hope you don't have a repeat of THAT trip to w**k from several days ago...Maybe the boss will take your word if you say that it's a bit too hazardous for driving in (this time).
Trainman Sam - I'm hoping your Bachman looks better than that one in the pics you posted!
That's some severe weathering job, all right...
If you're in HO scale, I have their 0-6-0 (saddle tanker) switcher, which looks pretty good and runs okay (so far as I can tell- did some test runs on the MRR club layout). I think your 'puter may have the hiccups, looks like your photos are duplicating or something.
Careful Flip - Todd might re-route some of his sn*wy weather back down your way, even if he has to send it by a hopper unit train!

Jeff, that Aleve doesn't have the potential to become addictive, so that's another plus for the Aleve over the Lortab.
I've heard of people on some pain meds (as prescribed) who wound up getting addicted to them and having problems getting off them when their body healed up.
Still none of that white stuff here, although they keep saying there's a possibility of some s**w flakes drifting down from the sky. We got to about 37 F today (about the same as yesterday), and the wind's still blowing with a wind chill that has a little bite to it. Guess that it's so dry in Chris' area that all the moisture gets sucked out before it gets to us, so nothing to come out of the sky. I'm gonna be careful what I say though, so we don't get socked with the stuff like Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and the Dakotas have been. From the weather radars, it looks like this big white pinwheel is parked over See Der Rabbits and just spinning around the s**w...
I got back to some MRR'ing stuff this afternoon - PC shamed me into it!
I figured I'd better be doing something so he wouldn't leave me in the dust with his projects. Got some more done on the Delaney Transfer Co. building that I'd showed here a while back. Will post the pics in WPF too, for others to get a chuckle out of... Here's a couple of pics of it:

I still have the roof braces to put on under the eaves, and I think I'm going to put the cupola on the top of the roof (though the directions say it's optional) and a couple of signs, one over the door and one on the roof. I also mentioned yesterday that I was w**king on some W-S pine trees, spiraling the trunk/branches from their original state (on the left) to a more-random and natural distribution of the branches (on the right):

Still a bunch of w**k to go on things, but a start's a start, right?
I have another 7 or so of the trees to make, and then there's the painting of the Delaney Transfer building (next time, I'll do the painting of the walls and foundation before adding the roof...).
I'll be at the window booth, seeing what's up with all that switching today. Hey, Barry, scoot over a little and give me a little room to sit, please. Thanks!
Blessings,
Jim in Cape Girardeau
