I had experienced frustration in using the ice breaker bars from HiTech on several SP locomotives. The parts were breaking during the de-spruing. I wrote to HiTech and described the problem. Just got an email saying they were replacing the parts and have changed resins to provide a more durable part.
The ice breakers are very finely detailed but surprising easy to install and look very good mounted to the top of the Es and Fs I have been working on. Great parts supplier baacking up a product.
