Kudos to the new Proto 2000 E-7

Hi guys,   Just want to rave a bit about the new Proto 2000 E-7 locomotives with quantum sound that Walthers has been offering the last few months. It's a great puller, good looking, and the sound is awesome coming from the duel speakers mounted under the hood.

I wasn't so sure about purchasing one, but when my Alco PA-1 that pulls the SP Daylight hit the floor a couple of months ago which by the way, shaddered into a million pieces, I thought the E-7 might look great pulling the passenger train instead of trying to piece the Alco back together with bondo and bailing wire . (I will eventually rebuild it but it's gonna be quite the project.) Since I'm more fond of EMD locomotives than most Alco's I went ahead and purchased the E-7 and now i'm really glad I did. It's a great running locomotive and i'm glad it's now on my roster......chuck Smile

I recently picked up one the latest E-7's, a GN A unit in the simplified paint scheme. I went with the DC version which I converted to DCC (I'll add sound eventually) and have to agree it's a great engine, even better than my old Proto E-units which were themselves excellent engines. Smile
