Fergie, Big Girl and I loved that photo, and we hereby swear to contain our flatulance while in the forest, no matter how much discomfort it may cause.[xx(][:D][:P]

Ed, you are aboslutely correct, I do seem to have gotten someone's goat. I can be so baaaaaaahd sometimes. [swg]

John, I'll take the Packers over the current administration any day. Beside, the Redskins are politically incorrect anyway.[banghead][:P][;)]

Elliot: It still doesn't answer the question: If you do it in the forest.... will anyone ever here it?" Hmmmm Catchie tune!

Anyway I see you're in hot water again with inappropriate threads. Shame on you son!!!

Bob: I'll drop you a line later, BTW thanks for the Fatherly advise. I did as you told me I posted the pic. I'm sure it will be appreciated.

Hello all, I have officially colapsed into the chair. Went on a bike trip with my class today, 7 miles on the trail each way, and then up a really, really steep hill for a good mile. All together at least a 20 mile round trip. That the most bikeing I've done in one day. Neat thing was that where we were biking was the former CNW 400 route, now a bike trail. Now every bone in my body aches, and I feel really tired. I think I better go take a nap......

Fergie [:)]

I have been getting that stupid message when I was already in the forums and trying to go from one thread to another OR when trying to post a reply. Needless to say it doesn't help my blood pressure any.

Chris [;)]

The coffee shop always makes me laugh and you did it tonight. [^] Now all the other guys will have to come up with something. [;)]

Noah [:)]

I hope you used some icy hot (would say BenGay but the younger ones may not know what that is AND because of the jokes that might pop up over the use of the word). If tonight was bad tomorrow will probally be worse, the muscles will really "talk" to you tomorrow (today). I remember when track season first started, oh brother, you talk about sore. [:(] The coach would make us run 4 quarters plus warm up laps. It sure didn't take long for the muscles to ache. And it took several days to stop hurting.

Personally I vote to just keep this coffee shop open. It would be a shame to start a new one. Plus we are all "family" here so why have a divorce. [;)] That is always so hard on the kids. Believe it or not I post here more than I post in the Depot Dinner and Coffee Shop. Here we talk about a varity of subject and trains and models are worked into the convos, there it is mostly food. Food is much better when eaten than talked about. I hate to see a good thread die. I personally don't want to "dig" any graves either.

Well I am tired so I guess I will move on. I do want to make a post in another thread also.

Did you all see my thread about "Resourceful Modeling". One guy posted an N scale bridge that he made out of toothpics. Now that is what I call resourceful and also shows much patience.

Someone sent me a few jokes tonight. So I will share a few here.

Good Morning Everybody,
It's a foggy morning in the mountains today. The coffee is excellent, and it's going to be a really good day. It's been a challenging week. Shawna was supposed to do a presentation on theater for the ninth grade honors class as her old high school on Wednesday morning. It was a project for her "Theater for Youth" class at college. I went down to Gainesville, Ga. Tuesday afternoon to bring her up here for it, and then was going to take her back Wednesday afternoon. She hadn't felt good for several days prior to that, so early Tuesday afternoon she went to see the nurse at school. The nurse ran a blood test, and Shawna has Mono. She's a very sick young lady. We verified the diagnosis up here at our regular doctor, who put her on bed rest for a week. So we've been contacted the school, contacting her instructors, getting assignments so she can start to catch up when she starts to feel better. I'm really glad that the school she chose is fairly close. It makes everything lots easier. I'm also glad that the professors and staff choose to be helpful and understanding. It makes a world of difference.

I've only gotten a little railroading done in the last few days. I managed to get the markings on the the Southern coaches. I'm using the Campbell Road dry transfers, which are very nice. The roadname and numbers went on well. The single narrow gold stripe on the bottom of the car sides was a different story. They were bears to get on straight. Most of my spare time yesterday was spent putting 12 pieces of striping on 6 car sides. Fortunately there is extra striping on each sheet, and I had some extra sheets. In the end, it came down to who was the most stuborn, me or the stripes. I finally won. Today I'll get the clear finish sprayed on them and then I can start final assembly.

Ed, (and the other Red Sox fans,) have you stopped grinning yet? That really is doing it the hard way. Going down by 3 games, and then coming back to take 4 straight from the vaunted Yankees. I'm not a big sports fan, but that's impressive. I was particularly impressed with what one of Boston's people said in an interview - "What we had to do was win the game we were playing". And they had to do it 4 times and they did it.

Teffy, how are you doing on the turntable? That's a good start. I saw that Stewart had sold out to Bowser. If it was time for them to sell, I'm glad it was somebody like Bowser. They say they will keep the line available and much the same. I really like Stewart's F-Units, so that's good to hear.

I'd better go for now, it's going to be a busy day.
Have a great day everybody,
Tom

Hi All [8D]

Tom [:)]

Sorry to hear about Shawna. I know we all wish her a speedy recovery.

If anyone wants to participate in the "slogan war" that is fine. I think we all know it is just for fun anyway. We all have our favorite railroads (unfortunately some of them are fallen flags for one reason or another) and everyone takes pride in "their" favorite.

Now I am going to make a shameless "plug" for a couple of my threads. [:0] [:p]

Here is a link to the "Resourceful Modeling" thread. Hey Ed, check out the toothpick bridge. Since it is in N scale I thought you might enjoy seeing it.

Here is a link to my "Favorite Railroad Decade" thread. If you have not taken the poll please stop by and cast your vote for your favorite railroad decade. Please don't forget to leave comments. It is the comments that really make a thread interesting.

http://www.trains.com/community/forum/topic.asp?page=1&TOPIC_ID=6512

Thanks for looking at these threads. I hope you enjoy them.

Good Afternoon Everyone

Took Dad to the Doctor this morning, which of course means another trip to the LHS. Walk in the door and the first thing I hear is "Hey, we were just talking about you......And it was all good!" That scares me when I here that walking into a place. Anyway found out how expensive paint is these days. They are also bringing in a Prodigy Advanced system for $385 CDN that's $310 US. So I gotta think this one through.

I tore down a mountain side last night and am now rebuilding it. Not an easy task as I'm rebuilding it with rock casts.lots of chisling and hammering!

Tom: Sorry to hear about your daughter. from what I'm told mono drags you down. Hopefully she will have speedy recovery.

I say we keep the Coffee shop running. Correct me but when we download, we are not downloading the whole thread, just the page we want to see.

I'm having alot of problems with the pewter as of late and according to my Brother in Law, it's because Norton AntiVirus and Zone Alarm are conflicting with each other which is interfering with Adware. Bottom Line I'm working with molasses and it's cold molasses!

Anyway I gotta run

Tom; Very sorry to hear about Shawna. Having just gone through the P-thing with my son I know how worried you are. Hang in there.

Well it's raining here so I guess I'll head for the basement. I'm still working on cleaning up and getting a drawing of the layout as it is and as I'd like to have it. As soon as I get it done I'm going to have it reduced to a size that I can scan and post.

I came in from the LHS the other day. The owner ,Rick, is looking at surgary. I can only tell him that I thinking of him and try and give him some moral support. I feel very helpless. Any way I found an old Sliver Streak kit for a wood truss box car. Picked it up and a Proto 2000 8000 gal tank car. Added them to my stock of un-built kits. When I retire I won't have to go to a hobby shop for 10 years.

Krump; Diesel has gone to $2.11 per gal now. Where is it going to stop. Gas $1.90.

I'm going to the dungon. Take care all

Jim, I agree. I've made the ocassionaly post over there in the last few months, but I have stopped even bothering to go there anymore. There's never any talk but about food, and it's become a waste of my time.

Well it's Friday! Which means a whole weekend with nothing to do! I hope to get a start on the building I bought this weekend, I've got all the peices laid out and I just need to find my bottle of glue, brush, scale ruler and hobby knife and get to work. Well, I better keep moving, as I have a few more things to do yet on line.

Sorry, but you asked for it, and I'm afraid I'll have to deliver...[;)][}:)][:p]

Remember, in my modern day version of the Burlington, CB&Q bought the Frisco in 1980!![:0]

But remember, the Q would still recognize the Frisco, and if the Q wanted it, it would have to be a pretty darn good railroad.[;)]LOL[:D]

Good evening Coffee Clubbers,

It was good to get to sleep at a decent hour last night. No need to stay up and bite my nails to the quick. I saw that some Cards fans started a ‘congrats Cards’ type thread over on trains Mag forum, and the same guys who complained about Elliot’s thread over here felt the need to go over there and rag about that thread being inappropriate also. [%-)] Whatever. Just seems to me to be easier to not click on the topic.

Tom, sorry to hear about Shawna. That’ll take some long period of rest to get back to normal. I had mono when I was just turning 13. While I was home in bed those couple of weeks, my mother bought me my first copy of Model Railroader Magazine. I had never even known that model railroading existed as a hobby. I just had some old Lionel trains. It was a turning point for me. Hope she enjoys the newly remodeled bedroom as she convalesces.

Teffy, how are you coming with taking some digital photos of the layout?

QUOTE: … You and Ed haven't seen car numbers in years on that Normal staff…

Actually, I can see the numbers. Now making them out is another story. Actually this has its advantages. I’m not obsessed about having different car numbers, so if I find one I like, I can buy three the same without stressing. Dimensional Data decals? Forget ‘em. After a bit of weathering they look like small white smudges. [8D]

QUOTE: Let's see 12-18" letters on prototype goes to 1/64" letters on Normal

Too small to worry about. [(-D]

QUOTE: … those darn Y****** again. Them and George S*********** he's too rich…

Actually, Noah, there’s nothing wrong with being rich, I used to aspire to be that way myself. The problem is that being rich too often leads to “being rich with an attitude”. Most people don’t like to see wealthy people treating others as if they could buy and sell them, even if it’s true.

QUOTE: Neat thing was that where we were biking was the former CNW 400 route, now a bike trail. Now every bone in my body aches, and I feel really tired. I think I’d better go and take a nap......

Congrats, quite a trip. Neat that you could use an old r-o-w. Although I suppose you’d prefer it if it still had rail on it!

QUOTE: Chris: The CARDINALS will win the World Series, let alone the Ntl. League championship!

Well, young man, you’ve shown yourself to be a prophet in your own time, at least as regards the NLCS part of the prediction. We’ll have to see how the series plays out. But, as I posted in the “Curse in Jeopardy” thread, the Cards have twice beaten the Red Sox in the 7th game of the Series. History has a way of repeating itself.

QUOTE: Hey Ed, did you see who recorded the final out? It's spelled MIENTKIEWICZ, I learned that from writing it on my scorecard all those years.

Doug was very unhappy about being traded, and blasted the Twins in the Boston media. I think he's over that now.

Spell it??? I can’t even pronounce it!! [:)] But he did contribute well and I’m glad they have him.

Yeah, I suspect he’s over it now! [^]

QUOTE: Jim: …would say BenGay but the younger ones may not know what that is…

When I was young I think they still spelled it by some European looking name, Baume Bengue’. I think they changed the spelling when they found that no one knew how to pronounce the original name.

QUOTE: Did you all see my thread about "Resourceful Modeling". One guy posted an N scale bridge that he made out of toothpics. Now that is what I call resourceful and also shows much patience.

Yes, I did. Actually it was a wood drying rack/platform for a woodyard. The supports looked suspiciously like my engine house. I wondered if he snuck a peak over here first…… [:0]

QUOTE: Fergie: I say we keep the Coffee shop running. Correct me but when we download, we are not downloading the whole thread, just the page we want to see.

That’s right. And you can sometimes see the difference in loading speed when a new page starts, from how long it took when we’re near the bottom of a page and getting ready to spill over onto a new one.

QUOTE: Took Dad to the Doctor this morning…

Hope it was something routine.

QUOTE: Paul B.: I'm still working on cleaning up and getting a drawing of the layout as it is and as I'd like to have it. As soon as I get it done I'm going to have it reduced to a size that I can scan and post.

I’m waiting with bated breath. I’ll see if I can do something about that breath while you finish up the sketch.

QUOTE: … Gas $1.90…

It’s currently about $2.12/gal down here for regular unleaded. But we don’t have the ups and downs that you have in the states and Canada. Pemex has a schedule of rate increases already decided a year in advance, so every 1st of the month there’s a small increase.

I feel bad because I really haven’t made any noticeable progress on the layout in a couple of weeks. [:(] This weekend I’m determined that I’m getting back on the test section of hills in one corner of the layout. And I’d like to get that one bad section of track relaid (relayed?). If I get anything worthwhile accomplished I’ll take some photos and post them.

Hasta mañana,

Ed

Insurance forms! He's in his eighties and very spry and alert but the Insurance wants to insure only those who are fit. It's the liability issue. If I'm doing as well as he is when I'm his age I'll be happy.[:D]

I talked to buddy at GMCgraphics and it looks like a go! I'll let you know how it plays out!

If anybody is upset about the billboard thing yesterday. I apolagize as to some it might have seemed purile or what ever but I had my fill and just went "Stomp"! Not very mature but "that" thread upset me to no end. For the love of this it's just a bunch of us having fun!

I'll be on the road selling apples with the Scouts tomorrow, so if some poor, drenched, frost bitten little tyke comes knocking on your door selling apples.....

Fergie [:)]

I do so much agree. I have been put out by much of what has been going on in the last few months. I have just about deleted by account twice in the last 10 days because of the one forum member who thinks we should kiss his caboose. However, I think he is again locked out of the forums but that is just a guess. I do not know for sure but the has not posted in a week or so and that leads me to believe he is locked out. Some seem to think he has returned again using another nic, but I am not sure about that. I try not to make a big issue out of spelling, since we all do spell words wrong at times. Some people make way too much noise about it when someone does spell a word wrong. Sometimes words are misspelled but it is simply a typo that was not noticed, and other times people (like myself) might just be in too much of a hurry and not notice the misspelling. I think most of us have heard the phrase, "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones", so I try not to throw any. That doesn't mean I never will, but I do try not to do so. (And I also try not to end a sentence with a preposition but came close to doing so in the last few sentences.) [;)] As others have stated, the forums are for fun and to promote the hobby, not to start fights, so "Can't we all just get along?" [;)]

On a nice note [:)] a lady I work with brought me a bunch of frozen fish. She likes to fish and I like to eat fish. Hey, that combo works well for me. [:p] So would anyone like to guess what lunch and supper will be on Saturday? You can have 3 guesses but the first two don't count. [:D] Hint, hush puppies, tater tots, and cole slaw will also be on the menu. [:D]

I just thought I would throw something else in for you all to know.

I love Alco RS3s, that truly has to be one of the classic locomotives of all time. I also love the l o n g noses on the Alco RSD 15s. The Alco PA was a fine looking loco but I think they should have all had the Mars light. To me the PA, FA, and EMD F and E units should always have the Mars light. And of course I cannot leave out the Century line, they were excellent locomotive I wish more railroads would have bought them. I like the Gyralite for the RSD15s and Century line (and for other freight locos too).

OK, who sent me this rain? It is raining DOGGY (s) and Mookies. (Some of you will catch that joke. [;)] ) I am tired of rain.

BTW, Noah, when do I expect you, the yard could use some work. Ok, I will throw in a package of cheese. [:p] And I can change the Coke to Mug Root Beer if you like. (If it wasn't raining cats and dogs I might go buy a Mug Root Beer <diet of course>, but I am not about to go out now.)

Hey, I hear a train. I sure wish I was on it as the engineer. [:(]

The storm is getting worse. I guess maybe I should post this and get off the computer.

Bye all.

Hey Chris.

Hey guys, back from all of the b-day trips and postponed b-day trips and etc, etc.
Had a great time in Va, the CSX boys (and girls) are real horn jockeys, we would go to bed listening to them each night. We flatlanders love the way the horns echo through the hollers.
Ordered 4 Pentrex vids, got MKT (photographer needed to have the term mindless runbys explained to him), Cass Senic, real good, not a big steam fan (no death threats please) but Shays and Heislers and geared steam is fantastic to watch. Also have Best of Midwest 1&2 but havnt seen them yet. Also have been watching the Band of Brothers DVD's, sure makes me realize how much we owe that generation.
Have a new girlfriend, about half my age, so that is why I havn't checked in since 10-5. My gawd, she has lots of energy, and she seems to want to do this or go to or be there all of the time. Keeps my old blood flowing, tho, so I have no complaints. We hooked up on the mountain, even tho we almost killed her . I figure if she can survive my camping group, and still like me, she's a keeper!
Looks like winter is beginning to set in, but still ok temp wise here in In, supposed to be in the 60's today.
Now is the time I envy Ed, with his tropical paradise life and Tom, Fla Phil and Bill, all in the warmer areas of the country!
Our Canadian cousins handle winter much better than us, but I can't say I wish I was in there shoes. Or mukluks. Ferg, you and the boys stay warm, and start some more tire fires up there to warm those arctic fronts up a bit.
I'll check back in Sun night, hang in there folks, summer is just 8 months away!

Good Morning All:

Today has started off right. I've been working on the CMR TT for about an hour and I'm in a good mood. The only problem that I've found with this kit is it's all made out of clear plastic and sometimes my distance perception through the optivisor is off a little and I put the glue in the wrong place. It'll be painted grimy black anyway and nobody will see the glue marks. I'm very pleased with the kit so far and would recamend (SP) it to anyone interested in a TT. I know that Fergies scratch TT built will give better satisification later but I can stand the differance.

This darn forum isn't working right today. With two screens open, I can't copy from one screen to the other. One of them doesn't have the bar across the top and the other doesn't have the bar at the bottom.

Why would we want to start over again? Just delete the first 50 pages.

Paul:
We saw someone in Canada painting a barn with what looked like a wash gun. He was covering a lot of wall in a hurry. I don't know what the mix on the paint was and how much he lost but it was quick.

When we were in Canada, we paid CN 99.9 per liter which at CN 1.25 to $1.00 converts to $ .799 per liter which converts to $3.03 per gal.

When are you going to ATSF into the coffee shop as we need more Santa Fe people as the wierdies are comming out of the woodwork. Something about CB&Q, FRISCO, ROCK ISLAND, M.E.S.S. and the MT. You know - all of those itte bitty railroads

I thought that this was pertty good "Forget the rest, the Burlington is the best" I like Burlington Vt. too. What's this "Ship It on the Frisco"? What's an IT?

Jim:
I thought the saying was "People who live in glass houses shouldn't stow thrones"

I received your pictures from Tom yesteday and haven't had a chance to look at the thumbnails yet.

Fergie:
I thought you were going to post the billboard in here so everyone could see it.

I looked a Digitrax on eBay today and the starter sets (new in the box) were selling about $50.00 less then Loy's Toys, which is a good price. When you decide to buy don't waist your time buying a set with the DT300 throttle, the DT400 is so much better. If the Canadan dollar keeps making the good strides It'll cost you less.

Ed:
I've taken some more pictures so I'll be ready They don't look as nice as I'd like so I'm going to take some more. I would take one of the new TT but with it being made out clear plastic you wouldn't see anything. HUMMMMMM - now that would be a teaser. I could just tell everyone how great it is in the caption, and no one would know the differance.

You sure made a lot of progress on your layout while I was out galivanting around the country. That should earn me a handicap of about 6 months. I can take a siesta every day if I have to. The other day I hade to help my brother-in-law clean out his store-all as the junk wasn't worth the rental price. It messed my back up for two days. All I could do was read.

Tom:
Sorry to hear about Shawna, but at least she's got a nice refinished bedroom to recoup in.

Did Fergie ask you about those "expensive" finger flickin' switch machines yet?

I'm going to go back to work on that TT.
Ya'll have a blessed day and remember SANTA FE ALL THE WAY

Noah- a blonde was bragging about her knowledge of state capitals. She proudly says, Go ahead, ask me, I know all of them. So a friend says, OK, whats the capital of Wisconsin? The blonde replies, Oh, thats easy: W.

"We saw someone in Canada painting a barn with what looked like a wash gun. He was covering a lot of wall in a hurry. I don't know what the mix on the paint was and how much he lost but it was quick."
- that's the best way to paint the farm truck too...

"Our Canadian cousins handle winter much better than us, but I can't say I wish I was in there shoes. Or mukluks. Ferg, you and the boys stay warm, and start some more tire fires up there to warm those arctic fronts up a bit."
-gotta replace the door on the igloo, and hook up the dogsled...

"summer is just 8 months away"
-Spring arrives in March and melts the igloo, need a new igloo then...

re Basball... I guess I am a Boston Red Sox fan - if I have to pick. Larry WALKER was the immediate neighbour at my cousin's place. We hail from the same home town of Maple Ridge. I met him when I was about 10-11, he was an Athlete, and I, well, was... not. I have however followed his career and that now makes me a Soxer fan.[^]

[?] I still need help on the multi-quotes to a post idea --- forgot how that was done (but maybe you've all figured that out, as evidenced in this post)

cheers, krump

Fill, that's a good one, I haven't heard that one before. Thanks for passing it on.

Krump, take the stuff you copied and pasted and put quote in [ ] infront of it and /quote in [ ] on the end of it. Need more help? act like your going to quote my whole post, and look at the text above, that'll show you.

Not much around here today. Got to catch a Union Pacific Balast train loading up today in Rock Springs, about 5 miles from me. Been hopeing to catch one for a while, and I finally got to. Well, better keep on a moving then.......

Good Evening Coffee Clubbers,

Another warm and muggy down here. Actually the high temp today was only around 89 or 90, so it really wasn’t that bad.

Big news, after several days of no real action on the layout, I did take putty knife in hand today and get started on spackling over my foam hills in one corner of the layout. We’re only talking about a small area here, but any progress is better than what I’ve been making lately. Don’t worry about me catching you, Teffy.

Hey Elliot, maybe you ought to resurrect that old thread you started asking FranciscoOn30 why he was going through all the back threads. I don’t recall that he ever responded. Maybe it was at a time when he was taking a break. I see he’s busily at it again. Actually it’s nice as it brings up old threads that a lot of us (me included) never saw first time around. And it adds to the activity on the board.

QUOTE: Fergie: If anybody is upset about the billboard thing yesterday.

Yeah, I’m upset. [:(!] Upset you didn’t post it here first! [:D] What are friends for? Geez, we’ve gone way too far P.C. if you can’t even say ‘fart’ anymore.

QUOTE: Jim: I have been put out by much of what has been going on in the last few months. I have just about deleted by account twice in the last 10 days because of the one forum member…

Yeah, but I sometimes think you take it too personal, Jim. Excuse me, but it’s just a forum. Trolls are much better left with their posts unresponded to. (Excuse the preposition at the end of the sentence).

QUOTE: Lupo: Tomorrow it's off to a big trainshow over in Utrecht, a 2 hour drive from here, it promises to be a good show as well, there will be 50 clubs from western europe showing their lay-outs as well as 900 yards of sale-stands, maybe even find some US stuff!

Now that’s a train show!!! I’m envious, first a Steam Extravaganza weekend, now a super show. Hey, by the way, did we ever get to see photos from that steam extravaganza, or was I sleeping (a distinct possibility)?

Whoa, Phil baby, welcome back big guy!!! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Good for you. Big question re: the new girlfriend. We know she likes camping, but have you told her about your “train” addiction yet? [:D]

QUOTE: Teffy: I thought the saying was "People who live in glass houses shouldn't stow thrones"

Almost, but I think that one is “People who live in grass houses shouldn’t stow thrones.” That’s the one about the guy who gets shipwrecked, et al.

Regarding the photos, have you tried editing them or are you just looking at them the way they come from the camera? I usually wind up at least cropping mine, and usually adjusting the brightness. I have only the very basic editing program that came with my Kodak digital camera. I really need to get an editing program with more features.

QUOTE: You sure made a lot of progress on your layout while I was out galivanting around the country.

Actually I didn’t make much progress, but I carefully edit the photos so they look better. This week I promise to get active again. Then watch out.

QUOTE: fec153: OK, whats the capital of Wisconsin?

I laughed at the blonde joke like usual. Then I thought to myself, Self, how many of the state capitals can you name? I used to be pretty decent in geography, although state capitals were never my forte.

Anyway I wrote down my list of the 50 states. That was easy as I can mentally picture a map of the US and just go through the map naming the states. Then I started to write down the capitals. A bit trickier. About half I knew right off. About 25% I had to think a bit. And there were quite a few that I had to guess at!! Bottom line is that I missed 11 out of the 50. [:0] That’s only around 79% correct, so I wasn’t real pleased with myself. [V] What’s really embarrassing is that I missed 3 in new England and I grew up in Connecticut!! However I get extra credit because I can name all the states in Mexico and all the Provinces and Territories in Canada. Don’t ask me about their capitals!

Krump – was Noah’s explanation enough to clear up your question on multiple quotes, or do you still have doubts?

Okay sports fans, I’ve got to get the popcorn and beer ready for the big game.

This is for the Seniors and other retired folks- I went to the store the other day. I was only in there for about 5 minutes. When I came out there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I went up to him and said,"Come on, Buddy, how about giving a senior a break? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a name. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for worn tires. So I called him a worse name. He finished the 2nd ticket and ut it on the windshield with the 1st. Then he started a 3rd. ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote. I didn't care My car was parked around the corner and this one had an Elect------{fill in} bumper sticker on it. I TRY TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN EACH DAY NOW THAT I AM RETIRED. IT'S IMPORANT AT OUR AGE.

Hey Ed, It's pronounced Men-cave-itch, that's not so hard.

M-I-E-N-T-K-I-E-W-I-C-Z, I remember that it has two sets of "IE" in it.

I'm sure you have no trouble pronouncing or spelling Ortiz (Ore-tease).[swg]

I think I'll just let the On30francisco thing slide. Maybe he's friends with the forum "police". Some of the ones he's been pulling up lately have been a little thin. [;)]

OK, now that you've boned up on your state capitals, this question was asked during final jeopardy once. Of the 50 states, name the four with capitals named after presidents.

Phil; Yup, that's a good one.

When they were planning the transportation system for Fort Worth one of the questions was what they would call it. Well I thought that with San Franciscos Bay Area Rapid Transite,BART. Dallas has their Dallas Area Rapid Transit, DART. Ft. Worth should have Fort Worth Area Rapid Transit, FWART. The chickens called the Fort Worth Transit, or simply The"T". Well it sounded good to me.

Fergie; I liked "It". Anyway now we're both in trouble, I guess.

Krump; Sounds like some thing Red Green would do. Well maybe not, no duct tape.

By the way did you see the one where he has the new sponcer, Ford Motor Co. Wel he anounces that and says that they wanted him to remind everyone that the Possum Van was a Dodge.

I got the videos of War Railroads. They have some footage of the ww1 narrow gauge cars being assembled in France. To paint them a couple of guys with pump up type sprayers go along and hose down the cars with paint. Right behind them come a bunch of guys with big brushes slaping the paint around. Less than a minute per side. Kind of the way I do it.

Well to bed. Have a good night all. Paul
