Morning all, gave up on sleeping [been up since 2], so coffee and a short stack, n OJ, Zoe
Yesterday was bout normal here, sunny and a high of 75. Today the highs in the 70's again till the rain move in this evening. Forecasting low 40's tonight and high in the 50's tomorrow.
Jim CG,,,, like the story on your RR. Congrads on the building find. I've looked at some of their kits, just a bit to pricey for me right now.
Of course we're just going north just to see the new house and the grandkids. Also taking up some brass track and some spare buildings, I'm not going to use. I'm sure Matt will pace him self on buying trains, his CFO is to much like his MIL, in that respect. And I know it'll be a Sat. trip, LHS is closed on Sun. and I don't think it'll be this weekend, no money.
Seen this old gas delivery building up in Bethany, IL. thought it was kind of interesting. Looks like it had rail service at one time.
Working outside today while the weathers ok, So no MRR'ing less it's tonight. Hope ya'll has a good day

Good morning, I’ll have a hot tea and a Danish pastry please Chloe!
Not only is Bill providing the donuts this morning but looks like he is buying this round too! And thanks Bill!
Dick, I just picked another couple a dozen tomatoes yesterday from my four varieties. And they are still producing a continuous supply, so much so that we have not had to buy tomatoes at the grocery for about the past three months.
Might have to make another batch of fresh tomato soup soon!
Inch, you really have gotten your $$$ worth out of that camper, eh! Do you pull it with that tractor mower too? Oh and nice pics again, yep looks like it had a spur there at one time.
Jeff, do you need a few Tums or a Zantac now? Hey, you are starting to grow a nice family tree there, now it sounds like a road trip would be in order as soon as you get your wheels fixed up.
PC, glad you liked the updates. That is cute that your daughter bookmarked the page.
Jim in the Cape, thanks for the congrats! That Texaco filling station kit really looks like a good one! And you got a great $$$ on it too.
Cheers,
Ryan

Hi Gang:
Jeff I'd say that is a bummer. So has the investagation reveled the cause, or are the operating department and track maintance still trying to blame each other?
Lunch today was provided by the entertainment department to say thanks for all that we've done on getting ready for halloween. Spagetty and meat balls with a salad and rolls. Not bad. I ate too much.
I've made a couple os castings for the head frame. The first mold came out allright but wasn't level when I set it down for casting the part. I made another mold out of a different silicone and it's working much bettere. Could be this weekend I'll be able to put what I have together.
Well I'm off. I'll be back this evening.
afternoon all, think I'll have a grilled tenderloin and onion rings and coffee dear.
Worked on the cabinets again, got cole enough to quite on that and get the needs to be inside back inside tha I drag out yesterday for room. On to other things now, rest came wait for a rainy day.
Ryan,, guess you could say, we got our money back for the camper, payed $300 when we bought. Mowy's not big enough to pull it with, wish it was.
Luc,, you can just go to your room. Wish I could, but !!!
Jeff,, I see some-ones going to have a lot of explaining to do from the photo. Looks like it might have been down draft winds.
Best get back to it

Mike....Good pictures from Bethany..The buildings and tanks remind me a little of Casey....
Jeff...What a pile up any surviors?
Well again its good to be back thanks for all your prayer and consern....Jerry
Nobody hurt, but those containers are goners, besides, it seemed like a good use for a frozen up F7. It last saw the rails a couple of years ago. I learned the hard way not to use baking soda for a sandy area. It got into the moving metal parts and corroded them. The motor is locked up tighter than a bank vault on a Sunday morning. If you're planning a sandy or snow scene, don't use baking powder or baking soda.
Evening all
Ryan Only 6 more days(4 working) and I leave for APEX!!!
All of the pics are looking good
Best to all on sick call and those recovering
That’s about it
Talk to you later

Good morning, and top 'o' the day to all of ye. I'll have some delecious looking sausage gravy over biscuits, two eggs, sunny side up and a large coffee, please.
Here's a little scene I'm thinking about putting together when I get to the point of placing structures.

Good morning, I’ll have a couple slices of toast with some sugar free jam, some fresh OJ, and a tall coffee too!
On second thought, I think an order of those biscuits with saw mill gravy sure do look good there Bill! Placing my order now, Chloe…..
Rut row! Looks like this round is on me fellas..... You know the drill, Chloe.... here's the plastic..... and the fire extinguisher....
Thanks for the email Ed! I’ll wait to check out that site when I get home this evening.
PC - good luck with the move, just about a day away now! I know you have to be excited.
Jeff - investigations from the NTSB might turn up some answers on your accident. But in any case as I always say…. “ a bad day of model railroading sure beats a good day at the office!”
Paul - castings sounds interesting, got any photos to share?
Inch - $300 is a great deal for that camper. I see that a little frost might just be a bit early eh! I am hoping to eek out another month of tomatoes before our first one down here.
JK – Nope, caint help ya here! I gave at the office, err….. oh ahhh…. my donation budget has been depleted for this fiscal year.
Duke - Yea, thanks for reminding me on the Apex event. I need to dig up your email from a few weeks ago and get my bearings straight on how to get there again.
Dick – those canned tomatoes sure do sound good. I could just eat them all up straight from the jar. That tree job sounds like a daunting task. I have a willow oak that hovers over the back side of our house, but it’s too tall for me to cut myself. I will end up having to hire a professional to prune it sometime and hopefully sooner than later.
Biscuits and Gravy,.......ummmmm! Hook me up!
So, what's up with everyone? I'm just getting ready for the move. Tomorrow's the big day! Speaking of that, I'll probably be losing my internet for a few days. I'll still be praying for all of you though. But you may not see much of me for a while. I've still got my work computer, but who wants to go there?
So, Jeff, is the HAZMAT team done with the cleanup yet?
pcarrell wrote:WOW, look at that! I almost hit the top of the page! Thanks Ryan, you saved me!
Yes, our timing was impeccable...
.... just a few seconds and you would have been at the top.
You needed the break anyway with the move and all...
Good Morning all...Clear and cool here this morning ....colder than a well diggers south end...Wow! Bill those biscuits and gravey and sliced maters look good I'll have a double order and coffee...Bill anytime you want to bring in biscuits and gravey will be alright with me...Anybody else get the new Model Railroader? I took a fast scan yesterday looks like some good stuff...I got the ends on my Qwanset hut last nite need to detail it out today and maybe decal the f unit The IC didn't have any F's except some they picked up when they merged with the GM&O so i decided to paint it black and decal it with white lettering IC never had anything like that but they will when I get it done...
Jeff....Thanks for the pictures how about some more...Do you freelance or model a certain Rail Road? I modeled in HO for many year and I see you have some stuff that I remeber so I am guessing you have been in it a while? Is the large green building scatch built or a kit it looks good...I am disabled too and like you said got to put things on hold till the 3rd makes it kinda hard trying to balance things out and model rail road to...
Well its almost time for the caregiver to get here..Bill I sure enjoyed the biscuits and gravey! You all have a good one...Jerry
Good morning, again.
Pc It's been found that boredom played a role in the accident. Hazmat has determined that nothing more dangerous than alcohol was spilled. It appears somebody was asleep at the switch.
Jerry I've been a model railroader since the mid 60's. My collection has been thinned several times over the years, what with moves and all, but I've probably still got some things you'd recognize. One of those is a Bachmann GP40 made in the 70's. It's been going for nearly 30 years and hasn't broken down once, due to good maintenance. The building to which you refer is a Life-Like supply house kit that I bought many years ago. In answer to your other question, I freelance the KCS and the MKT. You know, I never knew until now that that building had any green on it! There must be just enough blue in it that it's outside my vision range. I'm partially color blind. I always thought the roof panels were a blackish gray.
I got a phone call today stating that I'll probably be going to work next week. The sheltered workshop got a contract in that I can work on. This means that I can make up to $1200 in a month, double what I get right now. YES! MORE TRAIN MONEY! I'M GONNA GO NUTS AT THE LHS!
I just got started on the scenery base for my layout. I'm working with drywall joint compound. Feels good to be playing in the mud again. Got some pics of progress so far.
More to come.
