I need help converting 32 ft (1:1) to ho scale, the base is 5 4/10in on an engineers scale, and i need to take out a few scale feet for it to be prototypical.

4.4087256027554535017221584385763 inches.

Give or take.

Hint: Take 32. Multiple by 12 and divide by 87.1. It'll give you the answer in inches.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

thanks, I got it right before you posted it, I realized my N11 conrail caboose project with seven feet longer than it should be! I just cut up the frame, and now to make it prototypical.
