Except in my area, it would be beers all around, and one guy asking for motzerella sticks.
TMarsh use the word "piggy's" when referring to your toes in a bar
use the word "piggy's" when referring to your toes in a bar
Speaking of piggys in a bar.....
5 little Piggys go to a fine restaurant. The waitress comes to take their appetizer order and the first little piggy says "Mozzarella sticks all around". But the 5th little piggy says "not for me, I'll have a beer from the bar, please".
When the waitress comes to take their entree order the first little piggy says "Steak all around". But the 5th little piggy says "not for me, I'll have a beer from the bar, please".
When the waitress comes to take their dessert order the first little piggy says "brownie a la mode all around". But the 5th little piggy says "not for me, I'll have a beer from the bar, please".
When the waitress asks if there will be anything else before their check, the first little piggy says "no, that will be all, I think". But the 5th little piggy says "me, I'll have another beer from the bar, please".
While the first little piggy settles the tip and check, he asks the 5th little piggy "you ordered a beer for appetizer, a beer for entree, a beer for dessert, and a beer afterwards and nothing else. May I ask why you ordered all those beers???" and the 5th little piggy says "well, someone has to go 'wee wee wee' all the way home".

After 3 Top Honors in a row, it's about time someone else has their wallet drained. I'd do the dishes, but am toooo tired.
Tried to reset a post along the creek but the sand is too wet (hole just widens instead of deepening) so I'm going to use a couple panels from the round pen to close off the creek instead.
One massive branch crashed where our elderly miniature stallion usually hangs out. Fortunately he wasn't there at the time or he would have been messed up or dead. Whew!
There was one major leak under my painting porch caused by either a critter hole or where there was once a root structure. Still need to have a cement floor poured in that room.
Only thing left is to walk the back pasture fence. Taking a coffee break now.
Hope everyone is doing well today.

Awesome. I turned into a storm chaser for a day when I was out driving (permit) once.
TMarsh Are you suggesting that I, a midwestern hick....er um...GENTLEMAN, would use improper English???? Why preposterous! In fact I was taught "Local English with a twist". That would be Midwestern with a splash of southwestern. Basically that means, anything goes as long as you get the point and don't use the word "piggy's" when referring to your toes in a bar. Makes for interesting conversation.

Mornin' folks!
Another nice day here in the Finger Lakes. Wow, that's 2 in a row. Currently 39°F with a high of 44° later this afternoon. Lots of sun and a few clouds. Easter should be about the same.
Barry, ya das ist gut! You talk to your cat too??? I talk to mine but Manét always says something like mew or MEOW! I haven't been able to translate it yet........... The only thing I understand is when they say, "purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".
Todd I'm making a note to myself, don't make references to "piggies" in Midwestern bars........." I did say that it is an old Boy Scout recipe...... In fact it was given to me by an old Boy Scout (leader) many years ago.
Zoe I'll have my usual large mug of dark roast coffee in a FGLK mug and some french toast with NYS Maple Syrup and a side order of bacon. I'll be in the front watching the switching and seeing who I can get in trouble today.

***Chris, so where did that layout end up?
Front pasture horses are in the middle pasture, so that means the creek came down enough for them to make the trip where the gate washed away. I need to go walk the fences today, just to make sure they can't get "out out", as we call it.
Have a great day folks!

Good morning Breakfast burrito please and of course coffee. Non-boot. Last night went well, very well. I get a rest until Sunrise service when we see the risen Jesus. Until then I hope to get into the train room for more than just a stare. Have to do a bit of mowing and such. Looks like it's sunny out now, so I'll have to check the weather for today.
David- Glad you stopped in to say hi.
Rob-I'm glad you're ok. Hope any damage is not too bad.
Ray- I love to find those old documents. I think I'll pass on the stew. It just sounds a bit.........corny.
Chris- Where did that guy put that layout? I would think that finding a place that has space for a 15'X5' layout of that size would take that guy a while to find that. (yeeeesssss!)
Well, I might poke over to WPF for a bit. It too seems a little thin this weekend. Then off to start the day. So I guess..........Oh what's this? A bill? But Rob.... Oh a note. ???? "The garage needs cleaned" Hey! How'd she.....but I.....where did.....Oh for Pete's sake.
Ya'll have a great day!
Good morning everybody!!
Haven't checked in here in a while. Too much stuff has been going on, between health issues, and whatnot.
Just checked in from San Antonio, I went with my school's music dept. It was great fun, and I got a few modeling ideas from S. Oklahoma.
Glad to hear you're safe, Rob! As for the missus being tornado-parenoid, just keep a weather radio and she'll be fine.
Hey... that pie just hit me!
I'm gettin away from you guys.
Good morning, *yawn*
A large to-go bucket of that fine cat psychosis inducing boot coffee please...
ROB: Glad you guys made it through the storm OK, hope the damage is more nucience than expense.
Went and moved a layout last evening. An old friend from a long ago defunct model RR club rounded up a small group of us. The LHS in Cedar Rapids had the thing originally, about 15' long, 5' wide. They lost their lease, moved to another location, but didn't have room for it. A guy working there "inherited" it, and had it in his garage.
Here's where it gets kinda weird. His roomate's parents were paying the rent, apparently, and for some reason stopped. Guy comes home, his roomate's stuff is GONE, and he gets a note that he has to clear out forthwith, and posthaste.
All we had to move for him was: a dryer, a motorcycle (flat tires, etc.), and the layout. Easy, Peasy, Japanesese. A good opportunity to reconnect with an old friend, and meet a few new ones along the way.
Since we staged out of the LHS...I "had" to part with some bucks. Nothing exotic: current issue of MR, a bottle of paint, and a can of thinner. Good thing they sold a high-dollar RC car just before ringing me up. They'd never pay the light bill off my order. Not to insult our hosts here...but I am still just amazed at how THIN MR has gotten! I know that topic has been beaten to death and then some elsewhere, so I'll leave it at that.
Gotta go, have to cover an Easter egg hunt in Swisher, run down to North Liberty to grab a shot of a new library guy...then the wife said something about needing to get ribs. She's got a gift card to Chili's sitting around collecting dust.
Darn.
Have a good-un, be SAFE...

Good morning. It's 50 and clear. The high will be in the mid 70's and it will be partly cloudy. Spent most of yesterday transferring a bunch of shows from DVR to VHS tape and making sure to knock out any and all commercials. The DVR only holds 150 hours worth of shows and I want to keep as much of that as possible clear for train related content. I'm not sure what I'll do on the layout next but I'll think up something. Ray- Those documents are neat!! When we had my one Aunt down we got a lot of stuff from her about our family---now we have a small enclosed bookcase full of family papers put away---
Good morning pipples--I did not get much sleep last night as the 'Spring' was 'springing about---he apparently found my form to be a perfect trampoline to get on top of an easel Audrey left in our bedroom. Mornin' all!
Thats a cool old document there Ray. Isn't finding stuff like that fasinating?
Evenin' everyone!
I have spent most of the afternoon and evening scanning some ancient family documents that my son in Chicago wants for his hobby which is family history...... He has been bugging me for some of this stuff since last fall. I inherited a mound of old papers, legal document, and photos from my father that go back in some cases 100 years or more. Most I have never seen and have always siad I'll look at them some day. For items from my Great Grandfather James, I got a look at what remains of documentation of his life today.
He spent much of his life as a carpenter and house patron at a farm (jail) for delinquent boys in Industry, NY. Actually it is technically in Rush, NY but was given it's own Post Office. The Railroad Museum I volunteer at is at Industry and was the Erie Station there way back when and has some interesting history because of that. I found I have some very fascinating documents in my possession, including the purchase offer for the farm that my Father was raised on as a young boy. The farm is located right across the road from my Father's last house where he died. If you look at the terms, he bought a 186 acre farm for a total of $9,000 and took out a loan for $5,000. He had to pay $100 a year on the principle and 5% interest on the remaining principle. According to a letter sent to him by the realtor telling him the offer had been accepted the farm was worth considerably more than that......
Hope all of you in harm's way stay safe and dry!
Wow, cool storm here. Distant tornado siren got a workout with this series of storms. Hail up to dime size piled up on the deck, the smell of sap from broken branches was thick in the air, creek looked like a small shelf waterfall flowing into our middle pasture where it transformed into a slow moving lake. At one point it sounded like giants dropping small boulders on the roof. Another time it went from fury to eerie silence in a matter of seconds. Wife was glued to an open window searching for funnels.LOL
All is quiet now on the ol' farm, but will have much work ahead this weekend, removing branches/trees, repairing fences & the gate in the creek (if it's still there).
Still exhausted and can hardly keep my eyes open. Have a good night all. Rob
Good Evening Diners!
This certainly has been a busy place the last couple of days.
It's been a quiet day here as it is a holiday and we decided to just take it easy. I read part of a book, drank coffee and also tried that decoder install again. It was interesting as I got to see the magic smoke I've heard so much about. I do think I know what went wrong and will try with decoder #3 as soon as I buy it. I'm getting really fast at taking the shell off a Mehano Sante Fe--practice makes perfect.
And now it's nearly time for East Enders so TV here I come.

Hi guys. Took me over ten minutes to get in here on this POC cellphone connection. Just letting you know I'm still alive out here in Orlando. One of these days I will get a proper computer but right now it is just too expensive for my limited teenage budget. I see a lot of old faces here and some new face too. Nice to see the place is still popular. See you at another time.
Goodbye from Orlando.

Since Easter is only a couple of days away and many of you are expecting large numbers of family and friends over, I thought I would post one of my favorite Boy Scout recipes. It will feed a large crowd and since Ryan hasn't stopped in his wonderful menus lately...... It is for a hearty Elephant Stew. Enjoy!
Elephant Stew 1 Elephant 2 Rabbits (optional) Carrots Salt and Pepper Celery Brown Gravy Onions Cut Elephant into small bite size pieces. (this will take about 2 months.) Add enough brown gravy to cover. Cook over kerosene fire for about 4 weeks at 465 degrees. On the last day lower heat and add chopped up vegetables and simmer for 10 more hours. This will feed about 3,800 people. If more are expected the 2 rabbits may be added, but only if necessary as most people don't like to find hare in their stew!
