Due to lack of funds, I had to settle for the cheap atlas turntable. I also purchased the motor to go with it. For the life of me I cant seem to get the motor mounted to the turntable. I dont see how it could possibly work. Am I missing something? has anyone else had this problem? Dave

As I recall, I might have had to remove the end of the cover to attach the motor unit. I think I had to cut or break the edge piece off to expose the gear that the motor mates to.

I too bought the Atlas turntable and motor. I haven't yet installed it because my layout isn't built yet. However I seem to remember in the directions that you need to break off a tab at the edge of the square drive area which will expose the turntable gear, so that the motor gear will engage the turntable gear. Once you break off that tab, the motor should set in place and be easily screwed on to the holes provided. I don't have the directions handy, but if you still have problems I will dig them out.
If I remember correctly, when I installed my N-scale Atlas TT and motor, I had to remove the handcrank monuting screws, remove the manual handcrank and replace it with the motor. It must be similar in assembly.

Everything but, After removing the hand crank on the back side facing away from the T/T there is a plastic tab that needs to be broken off the motor assembly will contact the drive gear of the T/T. Be prepared for some noise. You'll see what I mean.
