BLI Paragon or Blueline 3751?

   Hello,

I'm thinking about getting 3751 in HO. Which one should I get the Paragon or the Blueline 3751? Which BLI 3751 looks to  be in the present day version?

If you are not running your layout in DCC, then I would get the BlueLine.  If you are running a DCC system already, there is no question but get the Paragon version.  The only difference that I would consider is whether the sound files in the BlueLine engine were appreciably better and more faithful to the original than those in the QSI decoder in the Paragon model.  But I would personally not like to have the problem of dual decoders in one engine.  For me it is simpler to have the one to deal with.

Which power system are you using DCC = Paragon, DC = Blueline

Hmmm, I'm not really certain. I don't believe that either of them are the restored version.  I think modernization would involve removing some piping toward the center rear of the boiler.
