Paasche Model H airbrush question
Posted by MRRSparky on Monday, March 2, 2009 11:45 PM

I've used a Badger 200 for a number of years with good results, but I decided to purchase the Paasche H for it reported quality and ease of disassembly to clean it.  I've only used the Paasche on one paint job so far (the lower fender on my wife's car!) and it worked well.  As far as I'm concerned, there is very little difference between the disassembly and clean up time between the two.  But, oh well, now I own both.

The paint I used with the Paasche was a lacquer so I used the #3 matched needle set.  I've been led to believe I need to use the #5 for spraying model railroad acrylics, yet in the most recent MR, I notice that somebody is using a #3 set to spray acrylic paint.

Anybody have experience with this brush to venture an opinion as to whether the #3 is good/not good for non-solvent paints?  Does it make a difference what needle set is used whether one is painting a model or weathering it?

The medium (#3) tip is all I ever use with acrylic paint in both my H and VL and I've been custom painting for many years.
