Here's a roster I made for the AS&N. Half of the engines are to be returned to NS and CP (6 GP15-1s, 10 SW1500s, 5 SD40M-2s, and 25 SD40-2s are on lease while the AS&N operates the Deleware & Hudson until a buyer can be found (Guilford did the same thing in the late 80s when they leased the D&H to the NYS&W for a year or so until CP bought it and now CP is trying to do the same thing by selling it to somebody). Here it is! Allentown Scranton & Northern Locomotive and Freight car roster as of April 6th 2004: Type Number Notes C40-8W 800-809 ASNX lease fleet, does not operate on AS&N. Ex LMSX SW1500 1500-1524 Ex PC and RDG GP15-1 1525-1534 Ex CR. 6 on lease from NS. SD40-2 4000-4049 4000-4024 ex UP, CNW, DRGW, and SP. 4025-4049 on lease from CP. SD40M-2 4050-4054 SD45s rebuilt to SD40-2 specs. On lease from CP GP40-2 4055-5004 4055-4079 ex WM, B&O, and C&O. 4080-5004 on lease from NS. Freight cars: 100T Hoppers 10000-10499 Ex CR and PC 50 foot Boxcar 20000-20099 Built new in 03 and 04 Caboose 50000-50002 Ex D&H bay windows I'm sure a lot of you are wondering why there are no SD70Ms and Dash 9s on the roster and why the C40-8W don't run on the AS&N and are just for leasing. I wanted to keep the AS&N a regional railroad so I could run modern power (NS and CP have trackage rights) but I could run older stuff as well. If I wanted modern power I'd model NS or Conrail. I have 3 cabooses I use for mine runs in the single mine on the AS&N which is in Eastern PA. Please tell me what you think of the roster!
