This is so obvious. I wonder if anyone has reasons not to use the clear plastic "wrap" that completely covers a tool, or other small device. You know, the kind you need a knfe or scissors to get to the item. I am saving several pieces that have a lot of flat areas and the curves near the edge might have a use too.

I save and use that stiff plastic (plane surfaces only) for the clear waybill pockets on car cards.  Anything to save a nickel.

Yeah. Doesn't everyone?  Probably every caboose & passenger car in my fleet and structure on the layout over the past 20 years has used similar material for the windows.
