I am looking for a decent HO scale Bachman BQ23-7 family lines or Chessie locomotive, I only need the shell for a kitbash. Pic of the model I am looking for is below.

Did Chessie System even have those or is that just a "fantasy" paint scheme?

Kevin,The Chessie never own those locos. Those are exSCL and later Family Lines units..
They would show up as CSX units.

As stated the prototype was never ran in Chessie paint. I plan to kitbash the cab from a bachman unit onto an atlas B23-7 (gold) w/sound to the CSXT markings and prototype detail of CSXT #3003 but in Chessie System Paint, that is if I can find one.
I wish bachman would re- release that loco under their spectrum line .
The detailing on the shell is actually very good on that model, too bad Bachmann didn't actually release a regular B23-7, might have been quite a model. I did own the model, still have it someplace, and have seen a real one converted to a B-unit (windows were blanked out) nearby on a combined NS-CSX (Conrail) line. Couldn't believe I saw a real one, even if it's days of glory were over.
I have one but i dont think i wont to sell it.

I have 2 Bach B23-7's in CSX paint. (standard line) It's a pretty common model.
I guess I never saw one, but I stand corrected. They probably came out after I was done collecting in HO...too bad as I would probably have grabbed one.
